(Quote) I think you might have missed a play from last week in your record. You should have a total of 36 picks. 23-13?

Season ticket holder section 222 checking in. Go Birds!

I'll be there Saturday. Won't be easy but at least it looks like it'll be pretty cold for the dome team.

You get so wrapped up in your own games its easy to forget that for every disaster or incredible lucky break you get, the opposite has happened to someone else. I've already moved on from that off the charts lucky win I got with Colo St last Saturd…

Thanks for the responses. My initial thread actually came off as more serious than intended. I fully recognize the harmless nature of responsible entertainment betting. In my case I have found that even a small loss on a game I didn't intend to bet …

Thanks to everyone who wrote in. It seems like until it actually happens no one can be 100% sure of what the NFL rule is. I would think they would have a blanket rule on defensive points in OT where in the scenario I gave Pitt was already up by 3, b…

(Quote) Just like in college. Thanks for the quick replies.

Thanks. That was what I told the person who asked me before I realized I didn't know for sure.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input.

I believe even if you play with the amounts you will end up with a net loss on either a St Louis win by 1 or a loss . I've tried a bunch of combos and they all left a loss on one of those two outcomes. The $500 is not an issue and I just started tra…

Thanks Goats. Bear with me as I give you an example on tonight's St. Louis/Winnipeg game to see where the flaw in my thinking is. If I bet $500 with 5 dimes on St Louis -1 +158 and 500 on Winnipeg +1 -110 with the local my three outcomes are +240 fo…
-
Thanks, but I think I've found a local who keeps a consistent -1 -110/+1 -110 line. If there are books like 5 dimes that have a 1 goal spread there are some good middles.

Also agree about the Wire and Breaking Bad being 1 and 2. With BB ending I think Justified on FX is now the best show on TV. If you haven't seen it start from the beginning. I can't imagine anyone who likes the Wire and BB not liking it it.

(Quote) Yes I do remember it, but not which book it was. Might have been more than one. I remember a quote along the lines that McCain had less than a 10% chance of winning based on the polls.

(Quote) Bin Laden at the bottom of the ocean and the one guy in Yemen who seemed to have the charisma to replace him is also dead. Romney on record in 2007 saying he didn't believe it was worth going into Pakistan to pursue Bin Laden.

Our first two years(86&87)we allowed trades until the All Star break. After I realized my brother and I were fleecing teams who didn't follow baseball as closely I stopped trades. At various times we had discussed having a reserve squad but back…

Thanks OT. We do have some guys who are in multiple leagues but they all say they like the simplicity of ours. You definitely look at players in a different light. As much as I like Jose Reyes, if I was the GM of Miami I would never have given him t…

Not sure if we had similar problems. In late 2010 I deposited 5K because they had a great free play bonus promotion. I talked to the rep and verified multiple times that it was a 10X rollover. I said,"Just so we're clear. I need to make 50K in …

Not had a problem withdrawing money. Had a big issue with them concerning a rollover requirement.

Thanks Coops. I tend to stay away from games unless they are +2 or better so unless there is a big change I would skip LSU and Clemson. I didn't get an answer but I beleive when I first heard about this trend a couple years ago it was a ranked road …

(Quote) Yes Goats you are also correct.
-
Correct,I was going to win $0 or $625. The high limit was what I found surprising. I used to bet political prop bets and the limits kept getting progressively lower.
-
No, $625. The one bet won $5125 and the other lost $4500. I imagined there are some small variances that come up but my question had to do with something this large.
-
I'm surprised. Not doubting your experience but I had both accounts for years and liked them equally. I always ranked Pinnacle well above them but had not been able to use them since they left the US.

You'll like Bookmaker especially after dealing with Bovada. It will seem similar to your Greek account.

(Quote) Both Goats and bkeiller touch on another aspect that goes into hedging which are the psychological aspects of a loss. It has nothing to do with the math of the situation which using the Packers game clearly calls for not hedging. Lets take …

(Quote) Delaware wanted real sports betting but as the federal law is currently written they could only offer what they originally had which were parlay cards. The next step for NJ after the law gets passed is to take the case to federal courts whe…

At 75-1 it was certainly worth a shot. My guess is that Santorum's showing in Iowa will have as much validity as Huckabee did in 2008. Can't imagine the GOP nominating someone who has no shot in a potentially winnable election. Santorum was intimate…

Does Florida think they are going to get 150 productive games out of Reyes for 6 years? I think a 125 games average is optimistic. 110 mill is an awful lot to pay for someone who has missed serious time the last three seasons.

(Quote) Maybe great is the wrong term from a technical point of view but as a baseball fan its been entertaining as hell to watch. Yesterday reminded me of one of those Buffalo Wild Wing commercials where the fans prevent the game from ending. The …
