I think this is fundamentally wrong. A team winning by 40 when favoured by book by 18 (see Warriors vs 76ers) is a matter of variance and luck than book having its line set wrong. Books are trying to get even action on both sides, that's their main goal if they succeed in it, the line was set right even if final score is off 20 points. If their handicapping tells them the line should be -16 and there is a perception of public heavy team (see Warriors) they shade line by two points and get their even action. If they set the line Warriors by 40, they would get one sided action that would move line down to 25 and managers would be sweating all night for Warriors to win by 40 in an isolated luck driven affair.
This applies for every single game, if the action is even, the line is set right whatever the final score is.

    Think I covered that.

"but the game was either in the outside ranges of results or your line was pretty much as bad as the books."

It surprises me they can get the same line. I'm on about half of your plays ytd, and im taking out most lines within 1 second of being posted.

But really golfer says he cant' be bothered to sweat ras every night, but instead he'd rather sit in front of the computer refreshing vigoursly waiting for 2h plays.

The days of sitting in front of a computer for 2h plays are long gone. Most people golfers age look at their phone every 2-5 minutes anyway. It's not like playing a 2h play is very taxing when you're already on your phone.

Yeah, but it applies for every game no matter if the result is in the outside ranges of results or the line is a team by 4 and that team win by 8. From books point of view the line was still set right providing they get even action.

Stevie's got the crystal ball working on the ice. Winning almost 70% of OTs/ShootOuts.

If you are looking for something to see how lucky you've been this would be at the top of the list.

Pretty much, but shhhh, never finished over .500 in OT/SO since the SO started. , 7-3 in OT's, 7-4 in SO's(last year was 14-22 on the season and had one year where I lost 18 straight so I won't apologize for the results so far :) ). Partially evened out this year by blowing 7 2nd period intermission leads, coming back from 4 deficits but we have been running good(outside of the 3 goal 3rd period lead we blew and the under we lost with 38 shots and 4 quality scoring chances :) ).

Beat big line move 3-4, big line move against me 1-0. Those are normal results. :)

Ed - I for one would certainly appreciate if every once in a while you provided some thoughts on the games or how things are going and why you remain positive on the season. You have a great forum (pun intended) to communicate and provide some color over the results as opposed to discussing the credit system. I remember around this time last year when you were talking about a 1.5 unit loss and how the leading scorer was injured during the game and it had an impact on the result.

I'm not looking to come in and make excuses for our poor performance. Many things have to go wrong for us to be down 18 units in CBB. Bad picks, bad timing, bad reads, bad info, bad luck, changing market conditions, etc. It isn't just one thing. As I have alluded to previously we have been through similar and/or worse runs before. There is nothing unprecedented about it. Drawing on those past experiences is invaluable in these circumstances.

It feels terrible to not even come close to meeting expectations so far, but we remain confident in each of the three play types we are releasing. Our market confirmation/lack of resistance is consistent with previous years. I would still make us a considerable favorite to win going forward, and if sportsbooks put up a line, I am confident the betting market still would as well.

BTW, some people keep referring to a bad CFB season. We lost -3.9 units on FCS games, ran horribly most of the season, and still finished 55.6% and +10.30 units for the year.

I highly doubt that. His NFL plays have been pretty mediocre at best though.

Do you know his record offhand? Hasn't been updated in ages.

H, if you really want that answer then you have access to all the plays to decipher the record. That would've been your exact response, although much more vulgar, to a post that like that before you went tout. I'm not going to speculate why you asked but I'm sure you could really care less and may have some ulterior motives.

Nah, don't spend time on it, it's not that big of a deal. I just thought that you might have it handy.

Right, I've always been in full support of people not updating their record.

I found an archive of an old mailing list for ras from 2006. It says "one week special! Order the full ras college basketball service for one week for only $49"
What happened to these prices? Losing week even meant you got the next week free.

Lots of success and prosperity. If you knew RAS when they first started you would get the first 2 months free and all plays came with a very long write up.

My first encounter was $80 for 8 weeks of the College football but then again I think gas was $1.09 a gal also.
