Yea, I missed the Senegal game (one of the few I didn't at least watch on tape in the tourney), but they looked awful in the 2nd half against Qatar and also seemed to be outclassed by Portugal.
what happened? I was in a mtg, saw the Germs scored an early goal, thought this (I had ovr 3, 3.5) would coast in...?....them I saw the USA final tally 1st, 2 goals, so it wss a lock, then I looked at Germ score, only thee 1 goal?!?!?

I only half watched it as I was on a conference call for most of it (have it on DVR and will watch it again when I have some time). Seemed like it was a combination of some inability to take advantage of a few opportunities from Germany along with the US back line playing much better than I expected (and the midfield/forwards also seeing a lot more of the ball and creating opportunities to keep Germany on their heels a bit more).
