Am I allowed to ask opinions on a certain service?

Was wondering if I could ask opinions on a service or is that not allowed?

John Rainey 'The Rainmaker'. Is he really as honest and no BS as he claims? I'm not expecting someone to hit 75%. His 60% or so 5 yr avg looks good. Just wondering if it's legit etc.

I got the same email, and snap deleted it. I just went into my trash to read it once I read your post. I think it is hilarious that he lists his "home address" at the bottom of the email. When I see an email worded the way his is, I just have to believe that there is a 0.0% chance that he is legit.

Anybody know anything about Dr. Bob's new NFL guy? Any good or the usual inflated sportsmonitor record?

    Thanks

Can't find anywhere that documents his picks, yet he puts up 60% seasons every year. His plays are rated between 1 and 10 units. Plays a whole bunch of sports at once. Spending 10 minutes with Google, it looks like he's used a chase system in the NBA. I'm sure I could keep going if I spent more time at it, but those 10 minutes of Google would tell me to stay far away.

Plus he offers different levels of service. Reminds me of ATS Consultants.

Both books are part of the same company, been around for a long time, fairly reputable AFAIK, but others would to have chime in with first hand recent experiences.

In honor of these services I must send out the latest Linecrusher rant:

If you really want to know who you are dealing with I am supplying you with a few comments of my own and links below said about me on the internet since 1998. There really is not much negativity considering I have been online for 15 years and have dealt with thousands of people over the years. I have only had 1 chargeback in the last 10+ years and that was denied. I still have active clients going back to the 1980's.

All you really have to do is do a Google search for LineCrusher.com which I have owned since 1998 and Sports102.com which I have owned since 2003.

I have been in business since 1983 and online continuously since 1998. In 1983 I wrote the "1983 College and Pro Football Handicappers Manual" (300+ pages) and in 1984 I wrote the "1984 College Football Scouting Report" (115+ pages) both of which were sold nationally and through Gamblers Book Club. I have published reviews from known\name handicappers who said those publications were the best at the time.
In 1998 I launched LineCrusher.com and the LineCrusher line of sports handicapping software (NFL and college football, NBA and college basketball and MLB baseball software). The LineCrusher software sold over +10,000+ copies\subscriptions plus I had roughly +400+ sports services I was giving the software free who were posting the daily game match-ups\stats free on the internet. Again, back then known\name handicappers said I had the best game match-ups\stats on the internet, period. I have a long list of clients\sports services and known websites that were using that software. In fact, Statfox is the only one I know doing something similar now to what is was doing publicly back in 1998 (15 years ago).
I basically quit selling the software\subscriptions in 2002 because I could not control the access to user names and pass codes back then (internet thievery). In 2002 is was getting 5X the volume of authorized user name\pass code log-ins I was getting paid for so I simply shut it off. Those are just a few things I have been involved in\with publicly over the years...

Similarly, I had a legally licensed sports service with offices on Industrial Drive in Las Vegas in the 80's. Clients used to stop in my office when they were in town. Clients used to call me in advance and I would arrange hotel rooms, tickets to events, etc... I guess it was roughly 1988 the Nevada legislature passed legislation that made it almost impossible for a handicapper to do business as a legitimate handicapper in Nevada. I managed to get a 1 year exemption but you couldnt send a courier anymore (FedEx, etc) to a client to have them sign for a credit card charge and you couldnt accept Western Union anymore or express mail. About the only thing you could do with the exemption was take a check by mail. The smart asses who knew that knew they could ride you for a week or so with "the check is in the mail" bullshit never intending to pay. While I was dealing with what I knew then was a major business hit I was in the process of closing on a 375K ranch house which was very expensive then. I knew for all practical purposes I was finished in Nevada legally. So, I shut down my office in Las Vegas and simply walked out on everything. Nevada basically legally with legislation kicked out legitimate handicappers who were beating the books who were mostly owned by casinos. Same as card counting. Sooner or later you are going to get run out of town if you win consistently. Since that legislation back in the late 80's, if you want to run a legal sports handicapping service in Nevada it is roughly 6K+ for the business license (if you can get it) another 50Kcash for the bond and +++ other costly expenditures before you even open your door every year which is one of the most expensive licenses to get in this country (go try and get a sports handicapping\sports advisory service business license in Nevada). So much for legally residing in Nevada doing what I do in what is supposed to be the gambling capitol of the world. I basically know some really sharp players who work from Nevada but their primary residence is legally in another state\country or they are working under the umbrella of somebody else licensed in Nevada. The funny thing is, back then you needed Nevada. Now, who gives a shit about Nevada since everything is computerized. The only thing Nevada is good for now is if you want to play sports for cash everyday. Most anyone has a casino\legal poker nearby now. Within 30 minutes of where I live now I can legally do everything I was doing in Nevada back in the 80's and more other than walk into a sportsbook and bet on a sports event. I doesnt take a genius to figure out who you are most likely to meet at a casino, poker room, track or on the golf course. Then, there is the internet. I have absolutely no legal problems running a sports advisory service outside of Nevada...

I dont expect anyone who really does not know what I am talking about to know what was really going on back then. It was easy\common back then to get $500\1K\5K\10K+ for various service, send a courier for the signature on the credit card authorizing the charge and it was a done deal. Western Union back then was a daily cash machine. Now, getting $95.00 for a week of service is like pulling teeth. Back then, most guys like me would laugh at you for anything less than $100 per play. Other than a few newsletters, back then there wasnt any cheap shit like there is now on the internet.

I am one of the guys who were at the Stardust for the opening line everyday back in the 80's who drew for a position on the window everyday to bet the Stardust opening line\what would be the adjusted line that went out to the rest of the country after the opening line was bet. Back then, if I got #1 position on the window I could literally drive a line from -2.5 to -5.5 or more knowing I might play the other side later. Back then, there were maybe a dozen or so of us legitimate guys running sports services out of Las Vegas with a business license and offices that anyone could walk right in to everyday. There were probably a couple dozen+ guys (runners) relaying lines from Vegas\Stardust throughout the country to newspapers and bookmakers via pay phones. There was a bank of pay phones outside the Stardust sportsbook which back then you basically couldnt use\get on until after at least 10:00 A.M. Pacific time (1:00 Eastern), period. That bank of pay phones was basically reserved\held by those disseminating the pointspread for every game right from the opening\current Stardust betting line. You probably couldnt find an open pay phone for a couple of blocks from the Stardust. There were no computers, no computer feeds or cell phones back in the early 80's... It was all done by telephone and runners back then. That was the big edge back then for those who really knew. And, back then if you needed a bookie all you really had to do was go to the Stardust early in the morning and you could get hooked-up.

Well, computers and cell phones may have basically neutralized the big edge we used to have then, but you still have to know how to pick winners everyday over an extended period of time. If you can do that, that is money...

Regardless of whoever has said what about me, I have never seen anyone who has used my service call me a liar\cheat or thief when it comes to my plays or service. Mostly, anyone who has said something negative about me is because I shut them off of my service for violating my terms of service.

You have to keep in mind that I was one of the first online in 1998 and I have been online continuously since 1998 . I have been fighting an online war the last 15 years vs consensus services\posting forums\blogs and vs my own clients who have given my service plays to consensus services\posting forums\blogs and sharing pass word protected information unauthorized. I have been in a lot of online fights over the years vs those stealing from me. It is like whack a mole on the internet. As soon as you get rid of one, another one pops up. And, I am always the pric when I shut off a thief\traitor. Anyone who deals with me knows I consider it treason if they use my service for anything other than their own personal use which is why you rarely see me posted.

You notice it is getting progressively harder to get known successful handicappers plays\information free or post them.

Leaking pass codes\pass code protected information has been a continuing war of mine since 1998...

Basically, the consensus services\posting forums\blogs have been making money off me and others using our name(s), information and picks un-authorized for years. Outright theft of our name(s)\picks under the guise of public information.

In a long fight with liars and thief's in this business I think that era is coming to an end.
If you cannot do your own handicapping or will not pay for quality service then you do not belong in this game no matter what you are doing, period.

Below is just some basic shit out there on the internet sphere that has been posted\released naming me\my work with my name without my authorization by those who allow\facilitate thievery and I am not even mentioning the cocksuckers who have allowed service(s) clients to post paid plays knowing it is unauthorized (stolen)...
I have a lot more, a lot lot lot more specific posts from 1998 to present saved on hard drives of un-authorized pass word protected propriety information being circulated\posted unauthorized under the guise of public information...

Quite easy, google him and see the 'locks' and '10.000 dime' and '3500 dime' plays he throws out there and you know it's shady. Then you'll find a thread at SBR, where he is exposed as a capper who releases 3 plays but only counts 2 into his record (the 2 winners) and you know he's a fraud.
