Stayed at MGM signature the past 2 times....I think we paid around $100 a night for a pretty nice suite. Right in middle of strip. Only downside is a 15 minute walk to MGM main casino (all indoors, some moving walkways).

    Have a blast!

screw the strip, if you are there to gamble , drink and let your hair down ,if you have any, then go downtown. Why pay those prices to take a shower.

orbitz has great fly and stay dealson vegas hotels..IMO the Aria is just awesome..beautiful place to stay..when booking wed/thurs are always the cheapest days to actually purchase your trip..prices tend to by higher when buying..read that tip in a magazine a few years ago..watch the prices and they generally tend to drop on the middle of the week

Signature is nice, but they do not comp the room if you have any gamblers. Mother-in-law is a huge slot ploppy; Maybe $5000 churn per day on $1 slots. She got nothing off the room because signature does not comp rooms.

Not trying to threadjack you here, but I am going also from 4/29-5/2 with the wife. Has anyone ever stayed at the Wynn and played their golf course? Just wondering. The Bellagio and Wynn are both priced about $200/ night during that time, which seemed reasonable. I have stayed at Bellagio many times on business and liked it.

The answer to your question, however, is go Sunday through Thursday if you can, and don't go in the high season (April-June or September-October.) Go in the heat of the summer or dead of winter. We are going next month because it's cheap as hell. Bellagio Lakeview 119/night rack rate on Friday and Saturday night. That's as cheap as it gets. We are staying at the Winn Tower Suites Wednesday and Thursday night at 129/night, and I expect to be able to upgrade to their highest suite available for purchase for an additional $50/night. Last time we stayed on the 60th floor overlooking the strip in a Two bedroom suite. (3000 sf ft maybe) and paid 300/night. It's all about when you go and when the hotel is full. If you stayed at Flamingo last time, you might try the Mirage. Center strip and has ok Blackjack and a nice sports book. Have fun.

I have not played the GC, and I'm sure I could get comped or at least reduced. It's about $500/round. As you can probably see from my last post to BiggT, we split up the trip for two nights at each place. That sounds weird, but you can really keep the costs down and you get to have two different experiences. I'm a $25/50 BJ player, and can get about two nights comped/casino rate, so each one gives me a shot at two nights. Both Bellagio and Wynn are terrific. Can't go wrong at either place, or at both!

I go to Vegas two/three times a year...it all depends how much you want to spend for the stay and what's important to you. Personally my favorite these days is the aria - you can probably get it for average price of 100 a night. My second favorite is Wynn/encore but those are much more expensive. If you want a nice hotel in the middle of everything that has cheap food options stay at Paris.

I've stayed at Ceasers, the Mirage, Mandaly Bay, Bellagio, and the Venetian. I usually priceline when I go to get a good rate or find a way to get the poker rate.

April is a good time to go it's one of the two months for the best weather the other is Oct April it's tax time and Easter break and family's take there kids else where. Family's also go to Vegas but any Dealer or Casino worker will tell you It's one of the two slowest months of the year. It has improved with slot tournaments and Blackjack tournaments but the Dealers get a lot of extra days off and tokes are usually down. The good places will appreciate your business.Your going in May and that's a great month to go and so is June.

Pool Time if you like. Lets first consider the Golden Nugget downtown it's a strip hotel located downtown. without being over-price If you betting baseball you have access to about 7 different places to bet if your going on the weekend usually free bands on the Fremont street with great band. the bands put on some killer shows I'm not talking about bands you haven't heard of you get names People just party. Have a drink with the ex mayor and I forget the name of the place but he's usually there with his Bombay in his hands somebody will show you it's right there.they now have Zip lining and the best is in May it's warm enough to go and use the Nugget pool and swim right next to the sharks. They also have a streak house there I forget the name I believe it's named Anthony's. The best it's a short ride to the strip by cab or car straight down Las Vegas Blvd. You get bang for you buck.

If you of who's ever with you plays the slots or Video Poker Downtown is where you want to play. It's a fact there looser machines.
Go to the Golden nugget web site and take a look it's gorgeous. I don't work anymore and I haven't worked at the Nugget since 2000 but I know one or two people there might be able to get you a few drinks maybe a buffet. Doesn't sound like much and it really isn't but the town has changed a very big change but if your a player I'll tell you what to do. But I'll give you a name anyway.
Tomorrow will touch on the strip. Higher prices, grumpy dealers who expect if you play to toke, tighter machines. but it has it's perks also that downtown doesn't. talk to you tomorrow. Don't forget the web site. When it gets closer and you have questions Edward will give you my email address and I'll answer your questions the best I can.

Were going with another couple who can't go till their kids get out of school. Were looking at May 27- 31st. If it's cheaper, we can go out on Sunday. My buddy and I will be playing BJ and a few other table games and all 4 of us will be playing slots. Can we save some money if we stay downtown instead of on the strip? I'd prefer the strip, but not a must. Were going to be coming and going, so the hotel does not have to be top rated. The wifes will be wanting to see some other great sites instead of all the casino action. We saw a beautiful place 2 years ago that looked like Venice. We stayed at the Flamingo and our room seemed a mile away from all the action lol. What places do you recommend to see? Not going to see Hoover. Last time we went, we flew straight to Vegas from Peoria IL, but when I seached lastnight from St.L, we have to stop at either Minneapolis or Memphis. Thats nuts, but I think the packages are about $100.00 cheaper if we do that. Why is that? Thanks for all the input and appreciate more.

Here is what I got. Were going with another couple and I got Harrahs for 5 days, 4 nights, 2 rooms the last week in May (FREE).. As I was searching all the places we wanted to stay, I remembered I had a players card from Harrahs in St. Louis ( which is now Hollywood) and called them and between me and my wife we got the free rooms. I called and got plane tickets out of Peoria to Vegas, non stop for $721.00 a couple. I felt like I did pretty well. Is there a good site where to get special deals on shows, buffets, etc?

I believe it's called "Oscars Steakhouse" or close to that and it's at the Plaza, upstairs in the front. He has lots of showgirls hanging out in the bar area, he calls them "hostesses" but my buddy told me that if they sit with you they expect to be tipped like at a strip club. Beautiful room, terrible service.

Sign up for Groupon if you haven't already. Once you do I believe you can change your city. Change it to, or add, Las Vegas. You'll get an email daily with deals some good, some shit. Even if you don't purchase anything through Groupon it will give you ideas and links to click on where you might find other things that interest you.

We went in October and saw Garth Brooks. If you like country music or him it's great. Pricey but worth it.

Also I'd recommend lunch at the Paris at Mon Ami Gabi with the ladies. Ask to sit outside. Great people watching. Grab a drink and a good prime rib sandwich.

My buddy also runs a scooter tour company. (scoot city tours) They do an early morning tour on the strip and one through Red Rock Canyon. They are 3 wheel cars, 2 person, and they are fun to drive. You drive them right on the strip and check out different landmarks or up in Red Rock where the scenery is amazing.

Had dinner at Paris seating outside, agree people watching was fun. Will check out the Red Rock scooter tour, my sis lives in Vegas and she is always going to Red Rock.

Can't say that name rings a bell. The Quincy Blue Devils have always been good in hoops and on & on in football.
