Back in 2011, former NFL star Dave Duerson shot himself in the chest ... and explained in his suicide note that he wanted his brain donated to a research center because he believed the blows he took to the head during his football career caused him to become mentally impaired.

To big to strong to fast they can't make equipment strong enough to withstand the punishment these guys go through. We may not see (Well me anyway) but this game may turn into flag football in another 20 years or so. if this does have something to do with repeated hits to the head this is really getting serious. Big fat owners don't give shit anyway there safe making big money in the stands with there family's.

What is going to stop it? Even if players know all the risk ahead of time there will still be a line out the door and around the corner to play.

Saw an interview with marcellus wiley today and he said seau admitted to him that driving off the cliff was a suicide attempt.

Agree with Ed here, players know the risks, they still go out and play. Hockey has the same problem.

steroids and concussions do not mix, simple as that. Just go look at what has occurred in pro wrestling where they all took steroids and received repeated concussions through a variety of ways
