Todays Play : Sweden -0.5 (-115)
(Game starts at 10:00 AM pacific time)

Did not have enough time to post my Canada play over the U.S. yesterday
(although MHplayer won with it so congrats) so gonna start here today. I
consider Sweden to be the second best team in this tourney boasting stars
such as Markus Naslund, Mats Sundin, Peter Forsberg, and Daniel Alfredsson
to name a few, along with a very solid defence, the only question mark is
their goaltending which doesn't match up with Team Canada's (Martin
Brodeur) or the U.S. (Robert Esche, who looked great vs Canada yesterday
and kept them in the game making it a lot closer then it should have
been.) The Czech Republic's coach (Ivan Hlinka) was killed in a car
accident about a month before the World Cup began, and it looks like it's
affected the team in a negative way as they looked absolutely terrible in
a 4-0 loss to Finland to start the tournament, this team quit as soon as
they fell behind. Sweden should be able to pull out this victory today.

Sweden has an excellent chance to win it all.
Take the over in tonights Canada game, Slovakia has some guys who can find
the back of the net and don't have a top goalie so the over should be an
    easy call.

You are correct, I have a futures bet on Sweden at +600 even though I hope
Canada wins it all, one can always hedge if he has to. I did make a bet
on the Canada/Slovakia game over 4.5 for this evening, just haven't posted
it yet, it does look like a solid play though.
