Sweden picks up the victory this morning to bring my Cup Record to 1-0
Canada/Slovakia over 4.5 (-140)
Slovakia's strength is in their offence, even with injury problems they've
got a lot of offensively gifted NHL players such as Demitra, Hossa ,
Gaborik, Satan, Nagy,Zednik and Stumpel. Their weakness comes in defence
where they only have two regular NHL defencemen playing in Chara and
Visnosky , and a goalie who is an NHL prospect but not playing in the NHL
as of yet. This could spell trouble going up against the #1 ranked team
in the tourney who are stocked full of firepower (Lemieux, Sakic, Iginla,
St.Louis , LeCavlier, Gagne and the list goes on). I expect to see some
pucks put in the net tonight.
I do like Canada to win this game, but as mentioned in Nvralock's post, I
don't like to play games with that much chalk and not sure how playing
back to back nights will affect team Canada when these players are all out
of season form at the moment. Sweden played back to back games and almost
blew a 4-0 lead in the third period this morning when they ran out of gas.
