Canada destroys Slovakia last night 5-1 so we win the over 4.5, the 5
goals by Canada doesn't surprise me, but I thought Slovakia would have
showed a little more offensive punch then they did. anyways ...on to
today...
Finland -1.5 (-130) (game is at 10:30 am pacific)
Germany is the weakest team in the tourney and more or less a "filler"
team so they could make it an even 8 teams in the tournament. They do
have a solid NHL goalie in Olaf Kolzig and two NHL forwards (Hecht and
Sturm), but other then that, the rest of the players are from the German
league and European leagues. The Finns are chalk full of NHL talent, and
their biggest weapon comes in between the pipes , goalie Mikka Kiprusoff
who some of you may remember playing incredible playoff hockey to lead
Calgary to the Stanley Cup Final. Finland beat the Czechs 4-0 in game 1
of this tourney and I expect them to continue the winning ways today..
