Guerilla Handicapping

Who is capping these games? I am blindly following because of my faith in
AAA but some of the picks are just dumb. I mean are these guys actually
handicapping or just picking random games?

Take The detroit Lions last night who were recomended at -6. Why would
they pick this game? Look at the information that was readily availiable.

For the Lions
Quarterback Joey Harrington and rookie running back Kevin Jones didn't
even play.

Wide receivers Charles Rogers and Roy Williams got only one offensive
series each.

Another 11 players -- regulars or players nursing injuries -- didn't
participate at all.

You would think a good handicapper would know these facts.

We were told to play all plays for as unit so thats how we play them. But
when you are playing them for 500 each these idiotic plays really sting.

Edward please dont delete this because I would like to see what others
have to say.

Bernie, the handicappers we have for NFL and College Football are very
good. You have to give them more than a couple of weeks to prove
    themselves....

I believe you. But How can you recomend that detroit play?

And Texas A&M too. It seems like both those games could be easily deducted.

I am fully aware that you need to judge someone over time. But it seems
like the Guerrila has alot of bonehead plays. I hope it picks up

In my humble opinion, the -6 had more to do with the subpar performance of
Buffalo this pre-season, (Their 1st string scored their only td in todays
game!) & less to do with Detroit being superior. I think the linesmaker
just wanted to keep everyone from fading Buffalo, so the line was what it
was. They knew that at least 50% of the public would be willing to lay the
huge number just to go against the Bills, & the other 50% would see value
in taking the pts...thus $$$ in their bank! The only other justification
of the large line would have to be that Detroit did beat Pitt at home
    earlier this X season.

We did not recommend it....We are following our NFL Handicapper and he was
2-1 last nite. He did lose the Lions and not by much. Our College Guys are
off to a 2-2 start counting last week.....I really do not think it is time
to panic......These guys are good but every nite is not going to be a
    winner..

I think the line was a fair one although I also sort of cringed when he
made the play. We only had the over in the TCU game and no NFL. He did
have a nice win n Carolina and a squeeker on the Raiders. This guy has
been very good and has done well enough to overcome the the other guy who
we got just for preseason because he has been the king of preseason for
many years. I think many know who that might be....He has really struggle
and we have him at 6-15. We did not use his 0-3 nite last night and just
went with te one guy. He and another handicapper will be the NFL Team this
year for regular season and it should be a good one.....

Baseball has been a rollercoaster ride and finished August at -.40
Units...Less than one unit down and we are not happy about that but I do
think it will get much better.....
