Analysis

Times have really changed, Gamblers kept their plays secret untill just
before gametime so as not to let the books change the line and if a
average player was lucky enough to get one of these plays he kept it to
himself. I have been capping and gambling for over 40 years and no one has
ever asked me for analysis before, only winners, I am a hunt and peck
typist with limited computer skills and I am 67 years old and I am not
inclined to do extensive analysis on my plays so if you need analysis
please fade me and go to another capper. You do know that analysis begins
with the word Anal.

explaining myself. Post the winners...!!!
I certainly understand your point of view, but I also very much understand
the point of view of others who find analysis helpful.
One example would be if I had a strong opinion on Air Force, and someone
posted Navy as a pick. I would want to know if they had some type of
information or reasoning for the pick that I was unaware of when forming
my own opinion. Even the best handicappers are going to lose roughly 40%
of their plays so it would be difficult for me to change my opinion on a
game without hearing any reasoning from the handicapper.
I understand that write-ups are not for everyone, but this is just one of
many ways that they can be beneficial.
It is easy for people to post just picks, that is why so many people do
it. In the meantime it makes it difficult for readers of the board to
decipher who is actually worth paying attention to.
Original information, insight, and analysis on games is much harder to
come by. I often hear people say, "I don't pay for picks." I agree with
that philosphy to a certain extent, but I am always more than willing to
pay for information.

resrearch I just don't feel like spending hours doing writen analysis, so
like I said just fade me if that is what you are looking for, I know
people that can write a book but can't pick their nose much less a winner.
your credibility or even criticize you in anyway.
As I said in my post I understand your point of view.
I simply wanted to share a different point of view that I feel is equally
valid.
I wish you continued success.

only play my own games I don't even read most of the post who are you
talking about?
time you posted plays was Sunday. Did someone dog you for going 1-1???
Just curious why you have brought this topic up. I think either way is
fine. If you follow this site on a daily basis and track cappers records,
you will figure out who knows what they are doing and who doesn't, whether
they write an analysis or not. The only good thing about analysis is that
sometimes it brings out a tid bit of info or fact that one may have missed
in their own capping that could be helpful in the decision making
process. I appreciate your plays and contributions to the forum. Good
luck with the rest of the football season.
are welcomed.
read Where.
Blackjack and DNDsports are one of the few guys on here that actually do
maintain a running record. Some people may nag at you for an analysis,
but if youre winning 60%+ of your games they'll probably side with you
even if they were initially on the other side of a game.
Just my thoughts. Good luck!
last season I don't Post this every time because I don't like to brag but
I am the first to admitt when I lose.
