Giants are 4-2 their last games, defeating AZ 8-3 last night....D'backs
have lost 5 games in a row, including last night.
....Tomko (5-8, 4.55 era, in 14 starts whip 1.33) Career vs AZ 5-8, 4.55
era, in 14 starts...AZ batting avg against him .253 in 221 at bats...I
think he faced AZ, there, on 5/4 losing 2-6-giving up 4 runs in 6
innings...Tomko has not did well his last couple games..in his last 3
starts, 1-1, throwing 19.1 innings- 6.05 era..but he's doing better than
Vargas.
.... Vargas (0-4, 10.18 era, in starts and 3 relief, throwing 20.1 inn, 34
hits, 25 runs, whip 2.11.... SF batting avg against him .233 in 43 at
bats.... He was claimed off wavers from the Nationals...
Both bullpens been awful over the span of each teams last 5 games....SF
was used in 4 of the 5, for 18.1 inn allowing 11 earned runs 5.50 era....
AZ's even worse- was used in 3 of their last 5 total 11.1 inn 12 earned
runs 9.52 era
Weather report earlier reported wind blowing out about 10-20 mph...
Gotta be gone for a while, kinda in a hurry, but here are two picks on
this game...note earlier lines....
PS: One more thing...SF in its last 5 games has total of 65 hits produced
36 runs..while...AZ in its last 5 has 41 hits produced 18 runs..
