Grambling State/Georgia Tech ending

Did anyone catch the end or hear about how Georgia Tech lost to Grambling State on an own goal?

Bad beat in theory, I doubt anyone had laid money on GT moneyline vs. Grambling State of all people, but that's a terrible way to lose a game s/u.
Normally the guy closest to the play on Grambling would get credit for the bucket but it seems it was so egregious that they just called it an own goal, even on play-by-play feeds.
Granted GT still had about 7 seconds left to get a good shot off and win the game, but still!
