been playing for a very very long time, havent played in AC in a while so a friend invited me to go with him this weekend ....everything comped , they picked us up ,drove us to AC and then back home.
I was more interested in just watching a game i bet and looking at some of the hot women walking around.
I was doing my thing and found my buddy playing two hands at a time , he had 8 grand on one hand and 9 on the other ...won them both.....anyway my question is ,are cards pre mixed now ? he tells me he wont play once they change the cards even though they are pre mixed , for the life of me ive never heard of this . He thinks the cards are more random late in the day and even before cards were pre mixed he wouldnt play when they changed to cards. Is there and advantage with a shoe that has been in play longer then a shoe that is new and just mixed ?
thanks

Gamblers are exceptionally vulnerable to pareiodolia and confirmation bias, and I have a hunch your friend is falling victim to to this.
Am just wondering what the advantage is by playing a table with the cards in play for a long time before they put new cards in and shuffling them the old way...from what i understand is they change the cards in the early am....its been awhile...how many times in a day do they change the cards ...is it a set time ...thank for opinions.

OT thanks for input
They take about 52 cards and fan them out, face up, to be sure they are pre-shuffled. They then flip them over, fan them out, and check one edge of the backs, pick them up, turn them 180 degrees, fan them out to check the other edge of the backs. They check the edges on the backs to look for irregularities.
I didn't pay full attention when they did it. I'm only about 90% sure they checked the face of the cards. I'm sure of how they checked the backs, though.
FYI, I'm a dealer at another casino in the area, so I was interested in how they did it, and paid attention thru most of it.
