I have used betus for many years with no real issues. I know that others have had problems sometimes though IIRC.

Only complaints is my prop and future limits have now been cut to $25.

I've used BetUS with no issues getting paid but had limits cut very quickly as Chisox mentioned. Just keep that in mind because you could find yourself with $100 or less limits with a big rollover to clear.

I'd say pretty much the exact same things about Skybook.

That scenario goes with most books handling AP's. Munson must look in the mirror and decide if he's an AP or a recreational player looking for a bonus. Both of the 2 joints mentioned have exceptionally little tolerance.

Both books are very recreational, but BetUS has done several shady things that make them a borderline scam in my opinion. This info is all compiled from the last ~10 years so it's possible they've stopped doing some of this nonsense, but some things reported on SBR or that I or other people I know have experienced are:

    1) Bonus bait and switch -- after depositing and contacting BetUS to claim the bonus, BetUS comes with absurd excuses to deny the bonus and tells the customer they're only eligible for a much smaller bonus. My favorite excuse was people who received a very generous bonus offer like a 100% free play, they contacted BetUS to confirm eligibility, BetUS said they were eligible, they deposit, and then when they ask for the bonus, BetUS tells them they're only eligible for a much smaller bonus like 5% or 10% because "they didn't call for help making their deposit." As if depositing at an offshore book is such a complicated procedure you'd need to call for help in the first place, but how does that even make sense?

    2) Dealing dual lines -- I initially deposited there years ago because they had a good line on a game I was looking to bet. Immediately after I deposited and tried to bet, I was switched to a different line set which had that particular game 1.5 points worse, while the odds screens all showed the line I was trying to bet.

    3) Taking one sided action -- market is +6.5, they'll deal +7. If you try to play -7, your bet goes through. If you try to play +7, you get a message "sorry, the line has moved, it is now +6.5," but if you have two browsers open, you''ll see it was a one sided move because you'll still be able to bet -7 in the other browser. I had times where a little bit after the "move" to 6.5, it would move back to 7 again, but bets at +7 would never go through, it was a completely one sided line.

    4) Voiding bets crying "bad line" that weren't even that bad, like not even scalpable with Pin
    5) BetUS won't even let you change your password online, they make you call them and change it manually over the phone, which is horribly insecure. That said, there are a ton of offshores with absurdly insecure password management and BetPhoenix (who owns Skybook) had their own issues a few years ago when they were transmitting passwords in plain text in the URL and ignoring hundreds of forum posts from people pointing that out.

    6) Participating in tout scams. There was a tout "John Morrison" (who as of last year was in jail yet still managing to tout from behind bars) who sold martingale systems, and BetUS offered a generous bonus to Morrison customers. Of course when you signed up with that affiliate code, they gave you a point worse on every Morrison release and if you tried betting the opposite side, they confiscated the bonus.

Obviously 6) isn't an issue for anyone with a room temperature IQ but it goes to credibility, and the other points could be an issue. Of course all that aside, one might still find it worthwhile to play at BetUS, basically treating it as a junk bond. As I said, these examples I cite are compiled over about 10 years so they may not pull some of these antics these days. But while both are very recreational, I'd say Skybook is more credibile and pulls less nonsense than BetUS does.

Looking at SBR for recent updates, I see that BetUS steals loyalty points for players deemed undesirable. This isn't uncommon (even CRIS/Bookmaker routinely confiscate loyalty points once they deem you're a +EV bettor), but it's probably a good idea to cash these in ASAP rather than leave a balance.

This thread is more concerning, where they're slowpaying a winning bettor with trivially small payments and withdrawal fees that are essentially extortion:

thanks for the info, I am recreational just playing NFL...remember well the days 12-15 years ago when Skybook's 1/2 point promo was a game changer...betus has never used any of the tactics mentioned vs my account but the extreme rollovers are difficult to meet...good luck to all this season

This has become a quite popular maneuver with many fringe online books. This is one of the reasons why I won't play with Buckeyesports.

    #13,

When I'm up all nite cruising the remote and scheming to beat these alleged BMs, "Columbo" is available along with "Charlie's Angels".

Oh, the Danshan reference? He's no spring chicken either.

Oh, btw #13, Peter Falk should be used in the past tense.

I just deposited with Betus on Saturday. Haven't deposited in a while, when I played I used Olympic and Pinnacle, but want to throw a few bucks on the fight Saturday. Long story short... I had a message from 2015 for a 100% welcome or reload bonus along with a free $50 prop bet. I made a deposit on my debit card for $150, went through with no fees on either end, and when I signed out, and back in, the $150 free play was available (its not really $150, but whatever) along with my regular balance of $150. The prop was for first attempted FG in some exhibition that night, so when that hit my "cash" balance was $200 and free play at $150. I don't know how withdrawing funds go, but as a Silver member I get one free per month. Again, I haven't used that book for years... that's just my $.02 (-115)

The bigger the bonus the bigger the red flag and the bigger the roll-over. Good Luck
