This article suggests that based on the Supreme Court's track record, New Jersey is favored to win the sports betting appeal.

There is also a chance this will prompt the leagues to come to the table and help form legislation that will allow states to opt in or out. Otherwise if NJ wins there will be no federal framework and it will be the wild wild west for states everywhere with no federal guidance.

If someone could take out the idiot Roger Goodell from commish role this would have a much better chance of happening. Guy is a hypocritical joke.

    Go NJ.

Hopefully states will allow competition with multiple bookmakers, like Vegas. Not just state-run facilities at tracks. Because if that's the case, credit will remain as big as ever.

Be careful what you wish for. I can't see anything other the the state running it and I don't think that's a good thing. Don't some states have legal parlay cards with low odds and ties lose and stuff like that. Hope I'm wrong.

There's no competition in Vegas one casino is just like the other everyone has the same numbers. The only difference is how much can you bet other then that they're all the same. It's not like it was years ago when the casino's were privately owned.
Everything is Vegas moves on air. In baseball you have to make a fair line and bet overnights to get any kind of edge and you won't be doing that if it's state run or even casino run like here in Vegas because there overnights are put up well after it's been hit. Yes you can pick up a nickel here and there but as point spreads go you get nothing unless your the originator.
