Vegas Guys

Promised the wife a girls trip to vegas in exchange for s guys trip to KC for Big 12 Tourney. (If you've never been, it's absolutely nuts)

Anyway, I sent my wife out with a little cash and asked her to place a few wagers over the course of the weekend. She's experienced and knows her lingo etc, she's not stupid and knows how to translate from her phone to a person. Anyway, 4 different times this weekend she's caught the sportsbook teller changing her plays last second on the tickets. In 3 of the 4 instances she was smart enough to catch it before walking too far away.

Would a book do this intentionally? If so, because she's a female or just because they're heavy on one side already? Seems to me from previous trips that guys have gals putting in wagers often.

It was a very profitable weekend fwiw just kinda pisses me off to know they'd do shit like that.

How about incompetence by the new Vegas worker. Do you really think they would risk a billion $ business by giving out bad tickets.

To add you even have to check your receipt when going to the grocery store. The price in the isle says one thing and the the computer say's another. Never to your benefit of course. It's the America way fat and lazy. LOL When I go to the store they're not allowed to start ringing my stuff until everything is on the counter and I could watch. I catch a mistake almost every time.

What happens in the sports book is the guy in back will change a line and then most likely get distracted and either be a little late or forget to change the number in the computer.
That's why there's sings on the counter check your tickets before leaving the window.

Most likely she saw the number on the board but it changed by the time she got to the counter..

After the first fuck up she did start checking her tickets. And found 3 mistakes on 3 consecutive trips. Just seemed fishy to me but I guess incompetance is likely the right answed. I blame her for going to such a shitty shop but its whats most convenient to where she's staying at Flamingo.

And none of the 4 instances were mistakes on a spread. These were blatant errors like him switching teams on her and putting plays in on the spread when zhe was saying moneyline.

They don't care. Watch a crap game next time your in town and watch the dealers with a full game talking to the floor man or each other cross firing like they were hanging out and they couldn't give a shit about you or your money. I've lost a lot of respect for the workers in the casino business. That's saying a lot because that's how I started and my wife still works in a casino. My last five years I was a high priced baby sitter. Yes it's was mistakes not paying attention to what your wife was asking for.

I'm sick with dealing with the "toke only" driven casino workers. I understand many are subjected to the worse manners of customers. I don't usually get personally involved anymore. The last incident that took me over the top occurred while cashing a considerable future at a near strip casino. While paying me, the clerk counted the $ like a high-handed BJ dealer. Full view of anyone paying attention in the book. Thus, the bullseye on my ass. Sure enough, I was followed out to the parking lot. Exposing "heat" eliminated a bad ending.
IMO, I prefer dealing with non-American born service workers. Of course with exceptions.

Cromwell was where she had been putting them in. Switched to Flaming today and said it was substantially better service.
