    OC Bill Cubit named head coach. Was WMU HC for a while.

    If anyone here is close to the Illinois program, I wonder how much this will affect the team, like Jake said, Cubit has head coaching experience, but this close to the start of the season, I wonder what effect, if any, this has on the team

    Beckman was an absolute trainwreck at Illinois. They are in better hands with Interim Coach Cubit as HC.

    Kane, I heard an interview on a CBS radio feed this afternoon from a guy that covers the Illini. He wasn't expecting much of a difference. Stressed that the team is sub par in talent with the rest of the league. A slight possiblity to be atleast bowl eligible.

    Couldn't have happened to a better guy. Good riddance. Plus, Illinois should be able to do better than him.
