I went ahead and researched the New Orleans Saints off a bye week since 2009. I thought with a great coach like Sean Payton that they may have an advantage off bye weeks. Just thought I'd share my findings.

The final findings were....
Saints off Bye: 7-1 Straight Up and ATS (only loss on road)
Brees off Bye: 362 Yards Per Game, 26TD-3INT (90% TD-INT Ratio, career 66% TD-INT ratio)
Saints Average 40.4PPG Off Bye, Scored 31+ Points in every game off Bye

this is really interesting...considering that BG is playing the under - are you guys following bg, the over trend or passing the game?

8 games is too small a sample to draw a conclusion. The tout frauds all have a large list of small sample angles (RJ Bell posts 50+ such angles each week) but it's all datamined garbage. In this case, the trend isn't strictly untrue--the bye week certainly helps the rested team--but that's certainly reflected in the line to a large extent and it's not exactly inside info--the mainstream media mentions off the bye week advantages all the time. I'd be morally certain that BG has already incorporated the bye week angle into his model.

I have mixed opinions on the trend but I do think its valid, two main factors are consistent (payton and brees) - I really don't care that the saints averaged before brees.

Pretty sure Brees would have put up these types of numbers at home against the Bills whether they were coming off a bye or not.
