Alright, Im gonna hop in the pool and start posting some golf plays. Ill try and give this a solid effort until the end of the FedEx cup playoffs and the Presidents Cup.

I mostly play 18 hole head to head matchups on Saturdays and Sundays. I never play any sides more than -105. Most of the times these plays will be underdogs odds. Some days there could only be one, others there may be 6 or more plays.

I play tournament winners too, but I play them each way and Im not sure if Im allowed to post those or not. Plus, I usually play my fantasy golf lineup and two long shots, and Im not sure people will want to stomach buying 10 golfers a tournament.

Record: 0 - 0
Units: 0

Saturday - Round 3 - The Barclays (pinny)

Luke Donald (+112) over H.Stenson
Charles Howell III (+106) over R.Moore
Kyle Stanley (+120) over J.Huh
Jim Furyk (+100) over H.Mahan
Brendon De Jonge (+112) over J.Blixt
Rory McIlroy (+125) over T.Woods
Charl Schwartzel (+120) over A.Scott
Gary Woodland (+115) over R.Fowler

Good luck, y'all!

I never play any sides more than -105.

Is there any specific reason for this? Just because something is lined higher than -105, doesn't mean it can't be +EV.

If Tiger Woods was matched up against me today, -10000 would be an incredible bet.

any thoughts on rory v Garcia? current price too high over -105 mean a certain no play?

    Degenerate filter, mostly.

I use rankings based on in-tournament stats and then compare numbers. I print the books card, and get the numbers beside each player. Then I compare them, and decide wether I agree with the ranks based on what I watch/know/read/handicap etc. I've found so far that I can find enough plays I like at -105 or less, so I've been sticking to it. Its not a perfect system (see first post), but I've had moderate success throughout the season.

The ranks I use had Gary Woodland (shot 3 under) ranked #1 and Rory McIlroy (finished even with three birdies and three bogeys) ranked #2 overall yesterday. Same goes for today. Sergio is #29 overall. When I add a little course weight to the pot, Rory drops down to #32 while Sergio hangs around at #31.

I think Rory is really close to getting his game back now. Garcia could have a tough time with the NYC crowds. The weighted rankings give me a bit of worry, but If I had to pick, I'd play Rory.

I can hit, but I can't pitch. :smoking:

I really hope I can live up to the hype you guys are giving me. So much pressure.

backing Sergio on a Sunday? I suppose he isn't truly in contention so he may keep his nerves in check and play well. one of the greatest ball strikers in the game but just a typical head case guy. flat stick one of the best as well. GL.

That was part of it. I don't know what will happen now that its been delayed until today.

So far this project has been disappointing. Im gonna need a big tour championship and President's Cup to get back in the black.

Sergio will drop a load of crap in his pants before hole 9 on Sunday if he is in contention. I grabbed a little Billy Horschel for my huge dog of the week.

My two dogs are Watney and Castro. I might put a little on Kuchar before game time.

    Good luck, fellas.

Pretty disappointing results so far. Hopefully I can make this all up during this week for the President's Cup.

For this event, there will be bets above the -105 mark. Ill probably post two top scoring plays from each team before it starts as well.

    Top US Scorer
Steve Stricker +666 (runnin' with the devil!)
Matt Kuchar +859 (Kuch has to love this venue. His last four starts he finished 1st, 2nd, 8th and 5th)
Hunter Mahan +1126 (Probably still has a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove he should have been on the last Ryder Cup team)

    Top International Scorer
Jason Day +546 (Playing well coming in the event. Familiar with the location)
Hideki Matsuyama +1093 (The international version of Jordan Speith)
Angel Cabrera (El Pato!!!! The Duck, with nerves of steel.)

    Stricker/Spieth (-169)
    Kuchar/Woods (-200)
    Grace/Sterne (+147)

    Good luck!

Just noticed I missed the odds for El Pato as top scorer. His price was +1192.
