Gents,

Have my bachelor party opening weekend of March Madness in a few weeks in New Orleans. None of us have ever been. Any recommendations for sports bars, restaurants, etc?

Also - I believe the only casino is Harrah's. how is it?

Thx

I went for new years this year with a few buddies. We stayed at Harrahs and the two guys i went with are pretty good size players for casinos (well atleast in vegas they are) anyways the rooms were already compt. We stayed 4 nights and everywhere i go with these guys i never pay for anything cause everything we do we just put it on the room and their gambling takes care of it. (i go more for the partying then the gambling, not a big casino player) well, about half our food didnt get compt which was a complete joke for how long and the avg bet size was, prolly avg 5-6 hrs a day with avg bet size around 700-800 a hand. in vegas we never pay for anything and here we had to. I think it maybe because its the only casino there so theres no real competition. The service compared to vegas wasnt as good either, like ordering room service at 3:00am when your hammered and it taking more than a fucking hour to get to your room. It was just the little things like that werent quite as good.
Great new sports bar is right outside of harrahs its called Mannings. Its an awesome sports bar to watch games, you can actually reserve some seats up front its kinda like a stadium type seating up front and you get a big leather recliner. Its like 50$ a chair, id reccomend that if yall are looking to watch one particular game. But without question you def need to go check it out and watch some games there and its about a 1 min walk from harrahs. The food was avg at best but the atmosphere is great. have fun

First off congratulations! Some people say "everything goes downhill after u get married" the truth is everything goes downhill after your bachelor party! So make sure u enjoy the fuck out of it!

Never been to new orleans, always wanted to go IMO u are going there at such an awesome time, party with your boys and watch bball all day avoid the casino - losing $$$ can put a damper on a lot of peoples trips, obviously not sure how your friends are

Had my Bach. party back in June. If you want to go the house route, check this place out. http://www.vrbo.com/348055.

Great location, plenty of room (guest house) and it is owned by Major Dad (Gerald Mcraney).
