Dumb Question, but why don't they have m/l on Totals?

So I see the Heat are favored in the game by 4.5 and total is 187. Money line is Heat 200 and Mavs + 170. Why isn't there a money line on the total? Say, Over +115 and under -120? Or whatever the Money line would be? Sorry, slow day here in the windy city..

Goats?? Stevey?

Normally it is just 110 on each side.

No reason for it. The more points a game has, the less each point is worth. This year, the average value of a half point on a NBA total is less than 1%. Moving the odds from -110 to -115 is more than 1% so there is no reason for it.

Certain Vegas casinos do that, and simply adjust the odds on the total rather than the total itself. MGM/Mirage seems to be the most frequent at doing that but they do it more often with CBB totals than NBA ones. CBB totals tend to move more than NBA ones so they do this to keep from getting middled.
