2-0 last week here as WSU sneaks under the number against Cal, and Oregon whips up on the Huskies. Now 9-8 in picks.

WSU: Cougs play in San Antoinio against Notre Dame in the first ND Traveling Road Show. Cougs have only stayed close (a win against SMU and a 14 pt. loss to Az St.) when the opponent is generous with turnovers (ASU gave up 6 and Cougs had two pick-6's against SMU). ND, however, does not turn the ball over, having done so only 5 times this season. The Cougs have begun to get healthy on the O-line to give their true freshman QB some time to throw and he had over 300 yards last week at Cal. ND seems like a similar team to Cal, good O, bad D, so I think the Cougs can put up some points. I'm figuring this is about a 30 pt. ND win, and the line is at 27 1/2, so the cover could come down to the last few plays (the the winner of the contest will not). Tough call here but we'll go with the points once again and see if we get a 45-20 ballpark final score. Pick: WSU +27 1/2

Seahawks: Another big line here as Dallas is a 9 1/2 pt. favorite. Hawks stil beat up on the O-line and future hall of famer Walter Jones has been ruled out for the season (as has starting MLB Lofa Tatupu). Hawks do get Leroy Hill and Marcus Trufant back, but probably in a limited basis. Hawks are notoriously bad when traveling east to play and they still have essentially no weapons on offense, especially with a guy starting at left guard who they signed off the street a couple of weeks ago. Pick: Dallas -9 1/2

UW off this week.

Good luck all.
