Today.... without seeing anything in the pre-season and just adjusting the teams based on off season moves/injuries for all teams. (90 wins)

Which way did you bet them old-timer?

Here are last years "expected won/loss" based on runs scored versus their actual record. Looks like Baltimore should come back to the pack, (they should have only been an 82 win team last year based on runs scored) Tampa will be good should win division in my opinion. Toronto improved but still Toronto until they prove otherwise. Red Sox who knows?

    Old-Timer,

MLB is not my strongest sport, so please take my analysis with a grain of salt & pepper,

    their divisional opponents in 2012:
    vs TBR 10 - 8
    vs BAL 9 - 9
    vs BOS 13 - 5
    vs TOR 11- 7

I believe that TB, BOS and TOR will progress this upcoming season and that Baltimore will regress a bit. The net result of this alone will cost the Yankees about 6 wins. Also keep in mind that many Yankee players will be playing in the WBC (an assumption of mine, please correct me if it's not true). The longevity of the season, the better control of PED's and the age of the players will also cost the Yankee's a couple of wins. I think the Yanks will max out at 84-85 wins.

    Good luck on your bet,
    Obi

Haha I know it pains me to say it but I am not very optimistic. Not related to my optimism or lacktherof but this is the first year since 2005 that I didnt renew my 17 game plan. Pretty bummed about it but planning a wedding and just dont have the time to commute back and forth from Philly.

Your killing me with that number Obi your saying Max out so your thinking they could be a 500 club. but will get into baseball more of course. I just can't see them hanging a number less then 90 on the Yankees.
They made Toronto 7/1 to win the world series I've also seen a 6/1 somewhere. I know the Yankees are old and they keep getting older and the teams have improved in there division but less then 90. Hey I've been wrong before. Thanks to all for your opinions

I know the topic of thread is Yankees, but I wanted get your guys thoughts on the Indians this year?

I like what they've done this offseason, mostly bringing in Francona, but still very worried about their rotation. They really need Ubaldo and Masterson to figure it out this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see a team over 90 is that possible. The Angels are 89.5.
