UCSB - yep, Santa Barbara Gauchos maybe very good this season. Word in the papers here is very optimistic. False or not, has yet to be seen but Orlando Johnson and James Nunnally returning Senior gaurds are in top form : "Our depth is a real positive," Williams said. "We've had deep teams in the past, but never a team that had so many players who can score. Right now, we have 10 guys we can put out on the court who can score. I can't remember having that before." That and 7'3 Center Greg Somorgyi should be a positive defensive force , rebounds and blocks.
They are a team that I'm really struggling with in terms of how to rate them. They have tons of talent and if all those transfers mesh, watch out. However, there are a whole lot of headcases to keep in line, and if things go south they could implode.
