How long till the Houston Astros are added to this? I know they don't qualify as a last place team but they have over 100 run differential and they have outperformed their pythag

Good point but I am a Pirates guy only, LOL. Got to be faithful to the awfulness (not sure that is a word) that is the Pittsburgh Pirates.

On a side note a lot of this had to do with how bad Pittsburgh has been for years not just this year.

I know the Cubs have been my biggest fear since starting this. The Pirates actually believe they can beat them.

Off for a while as the Pirates go home. I feared the Cubbies screwing this up but can't complain at 12-2 thus far and a 30% ROI.

GL, that 17 game road losing streak was timed pretty well for you.

Yeah but the greedy part of me is pissed cause I contemplated this for a few winning days before I actually pulled the trigger amd started it, LOL.

That was kind of the point of the thread at the time I started this also, that they were really overachieing compared to how bad they really were. Believe it or not but I thought it was hard for most people to see unless you really dove into the numbers more. I was expecting a typical Pirate awful stretch too happen on the road before long but obviously I didn't expect them to fall apart this soon or that bad either which has made this a really nice start so far.

But that's the Pirates on the road for you, couple huge streaks like this a year. Probably play around even from here on out on the road money wise. I figure I am going to have to have them lose at a good 63%+ rate or so for this to be profitable. That isn't easy. Heck, If they actually win a few in a row it could really slash the profits.

Scary thing to me is when they play at home or against the Cubs (anywhere) they actually look like an average team. Heck I even played them a few times this weekend against the Phillies at home and they made me some money along the way. So it's been a while since they sucked, hopefully it's time again.
