Withdrawal Hell!

Alright guys check this out! So i try and request a withdrawal from the greek at 10 am this morning! I am a college student and move roughly around once a year. So my address has changed since my last withdrawal. The greek proceeds to tell me that i need to send them a copy of my new billing address with a utility bill attatched. I am renting and have a landlord and the bill is in his name. I send the bill and they tell me that i have to send something with my name on it with my new address and that a bill would not work becuase it does not have my name on it (it has my landlords name who i am renting from on it). So i proceed to fax them a package that my grammy sent me a few months back with her name on it and my name on it with my new billing address. They then proceed to tell me that info is not good enough as well. I explain to them i am a college student and move around once a year and i rent so the billing information would not be in my name. They then tell me to send them a copy of my college id along with a trasncript of classes that i am taking this semester! Are you kidding me?? Do they want to know what type of fucking boxers i am wearing as well? I sent them all my college information and after 4 hours of hell they finally processed my withdrawal! Long stort i had to run throught 10 million hoops to get my money, but whenever i want to deposit the money will be taken instanstly! Has anybody else had a situation close to this? I was going to leave some money in my account to play around with but after this hassle i decided to take it all out!

The Greek seems to have stepped up their security procedures lately. You have to understand that there is a lot of fraud, hacking, and other abuse happening on the internet. These precautions protect both you and the sportsbook from having your money sent in to the wrong hands.

Ran into it once back my first year of med school. The problem was my drivers license was from my previous address in Wisconsin (I was going to school in AZ). Ended up sending them a directv bill, my license with picture and my school ID with picture and that ended up being enough. It sucks...but at least you know no one will find it easy to steal your money out of your account :). Good luck.

This is normal and will happen with any reputable sportsbook. It really can be a pain but really is to protect you the customer from fraudulent activity as well as to protect the Sportsbook. You are in a situation that its difficult to prove your address which is probably a red flag in general. As much as a pain as it was I'm glad to hear the withdrawl was processed. The Greek withdrawl will be fast once its processed which is the key thing. Some places with poor ratings at sportsbookreview your money would be in limbo for a lot longer.

I moved recently so was changing addresses on accounts and had to send a scanned photo of my drivers license to prove my address change was true. This was an amazing pain in 2003 when I was in college and had no cell phone and no scanner, now you can just take a picture with your cell phone and send via email.

it all worked out ...didn't it.....and as you get older and more mature...you will appreciate a companys concern about these issues..........................and in this computer age...if you ever have your identity stolen or have a problem with credit card fraud...you will look back on this issue and see why they did things the way they did!!....and thank them for running security checks as they did!

all im saying is it was the biggest hassle to get my money. i do not have a fax machine handy as a college student and just having to run to the store 3 times and fax info was just a bit tedious. It took over 4 hours of waiting on the phone and faxing info to get my money. I know the greek is very reputable and quick with payouts, but 4 hours of dicking around to get the money is a lot. Having to send my college id e-mail address and class schedule is just a bit too much info couple with my bills that i was sending them. Are there easier withdrawal methods that i should be looking into? Any info hels guys!

definitely can see your point dsgator....unfortunately with the way the world has become...i think we all have to accept these things...when i was probably your age, and was flying all over the country on business, there was hardly any security involved...wow !!...have things changed there!...its called ...change...and i guess we all have to learn to accept it..or get left behind!...gk if you can find an easier way to get around it.

Recommend that anyone that gambles offshore take a few hours and scan in your license, passport(if you have one), utility bill(s), and any CC's you use to deposit. Every book requires this stuff, some of them require it for each withdrawal request. Thegreek is one of the best, you'll run into other books that send the request and then don't respond to let you know they've received everything. Some are insanely picky about scan quality, it's annoying but it's part of the game.

I just recentley transferred some money from the Greek to Bookmaker, and had to scan and email a copy of my DL to prove I was who I claimed to be. I called back about 15 minutes later, and they had already recieved it and processed my transfer within the hour. It was very fast and simple to do.

it is definitely absurd , understanding the fact that they are trying very hard to curb the fraud and stuff going on they really need to have the proper policies and procedures in place to deal with this type of situation because it is clearly not uncommon. BetJam has the same sort of policy with the change of address. They do not allow you to login and change on your own, you have to fax a copy of your license and utility bill. That is just not the best way there is to verify identity. Hell, you dont have to do this type of stuff to get a damn credit card! They need to have different policies and procedures to run their business efficiently and I think they havent even explored other options. find a new book

First I can understand that you feel this is a hassel as things did not go as smooth as you wanted..I have delt with several books over the years and one of the first things I do is ask what is required to withdraw funds..and it seems if you fund your account by credit/debit money transfer etc they require a utility bill, driver lic and front and rear copy of credit card...and I send this info as soon as it is convient for me , after sending the info I call and make sure it was received and if there would be any problems if I wanted to withdraw funds.however several books do not require any info if you FUND and WITHDRAW by Western Union

At least it worked out. I understand the security but asking for a transcript of classes. Wow.
I had a person with Skybook once tell me "we can't let you Americans do whatever you want with your money". I know that sounds crazy and made up but I swear that's what she said to me.
That didn't set well with me so I asked for a supervisor. He said I misunderstood.
Well I took my money out and put it in BetJamaica. I've made three withdrawals in three months and every time it's arrived next day no questions asked. The checks are always from Bank of Canada. Fantastic service. I just wish they'd post their basketball lines sooner not too mention college totals. I think they wait until last minute for those.
