Went to the Luxor in August...they've been doing renovations, it was fine with us cause it was a bunch of young people looking to party and just sleeping in the room...but if you're looking for something with the Mrs. maybe not the best choice

Absolutely a no brainer her. Luxor and monte Carlo are terrible.

    Rio it is!

Yes i agree, the Rio is across the highway so you have to take the shuttle to the sister casino, ie Bally or Caesar...blab blab...you u like to play poker no question it is the Rio, the poker room is huge...

Never been to the Lux...but it is on the southside of the strip and for me it is a little to far south,,,,

The monte carlo sucks but if you want to stay on the strip and have access to MGM, have to walk to Ceasar and also The big B....plus in my opinion the best sportsbooks are at Caesar or the Bellagio...

Air fare and 4 nights hotel.. Which would you pick?

    Rio $399
    Planet Hollywood $418
    Caesars $469
    Harrahs $371
    Treasure Island $429
    MGM Grand $434
    Luxor $399
    Imperial Palace $351
    Monte Carlo $402
    Stratosphere $355
    Bally's $410
    Excalibur $377

    Which one and why?

Just left the Rio. Don't be misled by the term suite. My room had 2 beds and a couch if thats a suite

Rio, by far the best "bang for the buck" All Suites, no way your dissappointed. Also, they will give comps for sports bets and horse bets.

I agree Harrahs to me is the best since it is across the street from Ceasar and etc....the only neg is that is does not have a street entrance (for check in and also check out's ) so you will enter the hotel to check in from the back..also all shuttles and taxi rides will be from the rear of the casino...but all in all i like harrah's for it's central location...

for those prices, rio, mgm, or caesars are the 3 choices. not much more and youre getting quite better quality. if you want to be more upscale, spend the little extra for caesars. the rio has an excellent buffett, but its about $30. you wont complain with the rio, but caesars is a little more of a classy setting for the wife.

I agree with Rio. Ask for a room high up with a view, mention its your anniversary. Also try to stay Sun-Thur you'll have a better chance of a primo suite. Back in March the wife got an offer for a free night so we went on a Mon or Tues. At check in she asked the guy for a room high up with a view. He put us on the top floor. We had a huge suite with a full dining room, a living room and a jucuzzi tub. Too bad it was only for one night. Their seafood restaurant Buzio's is pretty good. Personally I didn't care for the buffet. If you like buffets go to the Mirage or Wynn. You can take the free shuttle to Harrah's and walk to either from there. Hope this helps buddy and happy anniversary.

I actually stayed in a suite at Caesars for my 1st wedding anv. Great time, great view overlooking Strip and fountains at Bellagio.

I'm going there Superbowl weekend and staying at the Plaza, someone please tell me this isn't the biggest dump on planet earth

if youre bringing the wife i suggest rio or monte carlo if you are selecting out of those 3. luxor is complete shit. but if you had option to use that money elsewhere, stay at the venetian or planet hollywood. both suites are sickkk.

Yes the Plaza is a dump, but at least now they have a Lucky's sportsbook which has a lot of good betting options.
