Note: Playing Major League Baseball Totals is simply deciding how many potential runs are going to be scored more times than not and then deciding if that percentage is good enough to risk money on. We have a good situation tonight with a number of factors telling me that UNDER will hit many more times than not. Despite throwing many of his games in Hitter Happy Wrigley Field, Ryan Dempster has amassed some amazing numbers this year. His 35 hits allowed over 57 innings is as good as anyone in either league and he also has great K/BB Ratios as well. Dempster looks to build on one of his best outings with a 6 hit shutout over the Padres his last time out. He just is plain good and he will throw at the weakness of the Astros Batters, having not hit righties as good as southpaws this year. The Astros Thrower has been up and down this year but mostly down. He is capable of throwing a good game with a shutout effort on May 10th verses the Dodgers and another well pitched contest verses these very Cubs earlier this year. Sampson is 2-0 with a 1.25 ERA in five career games, three starts, against the Cubs. That is important for a struggling thrower to know and should help his confidence level tonight. Chris does have good control and he does not issue BB's very often, just 9 in 39 innings. We do have 2 quality Bullpens going for this one and both have been performing well of late. This has been an UNDER venue this year, the Cubs have been an UNDER Road Squad, and the Homeplate Ump is 7-1 UNDER this year already, yeilding under 8 runs per game. I do like our chances tonight. The possibility of this betting line moving against us is very good so don't delay and get it now.
