I want you fellas to notice something. There is no doubt in my mind that I am moving the wnba lines, which makes me feel a little nervous about it. However, out of the upteen games in wnba that I've put out this year, each one has moved at least 1.5 to 2 points. I want you to notice today. This is in part due to the limits set in wnba are smaller so the line moves quicker, but also b/c not too many people cap these games. I let it go the first upteen times, but it seems more and more obvious now especially over the last few selections. Even the selections that are obscure such as the total quickly move up 1 to 2 points.

Bulls -4 right now (At least -5 by gametime)

Quite possibly playing with fire here, but despite the Lynx having revenge the Sky are simply balling right now. They have covered 3 straight games and they have been in every game this year as sure they lost to the Sparks, but that was expected at home, and they lost to New York on the road (ny - a team that is undefeated) but even in that game, which was earlier on in the season, they let go of a 20 point lead. I'm glad I noticed that game as that is what led me to take new york over the lynx. The Lynx have lost 15 of their last 16 games or something to that extent since going back last year and they have missed their last 3 covers and last 5 out of 6 during that stretch. Listen, I don't do conspiracy theories or conspiracy lines and I just bet the line personally. The line here says the Lynx will lose by 4, and I think they will lose by more, so I will take the sky. Personally, I just bet the line. Chicago then after the Sparks and Sky game went on to beat Minny outright on the road as huge dogs of 7.5 - now favored by 4, just goes to show how off the oddsmaker's were with a 11.5 point shift, nearly beat conn as outright dogs at home, but still covered, then picked themselves up to go on the road and beat washington outright as 8.5 dogs. This is the first game they are favored all season and I think they will cover yet again today. Too much size, Dupree and Canty in my opinion. I think the total is set right personally.

As per New York vs. Mercury, I can't bet against the Liberty as this game purely depends on who hits their 3 balls today and frankly I think it can go either way, although I think the game still might go over despite the high total.

Wizards/Pacers Over 152.5 right now (At least 153.5 by gametime)

If you remember, I mentioned that this was my favorite team in the wnba, as I love watching the fever play. They were a defensive team last year, and now they are a new offensive powerhouse scoring 85 points per game. Thus, their games are going over and these are the kind of early trends which are nice to hit in the early goings - similar to college basketball totals and teams as well. The Twin headed Tamika's (Catchings and Whitmore) have been awesome this year and this team loves to run up the score as they did it to the Lynx at home and they do not care about doing so. Despite the huge spread I think the Fever cover it, but I would rather bet them to go over 80 points as well and thinking Washington keeps up a decent amount and this game consequently goes over. I'm hoping that this game is similar to the Shock vs. Wizards in which the final score was 94-79 as 173 points were scored as I have this game at a 165 points personally. I nearly played the spread as well, but why lay that and instead I'm going to just roll with the over.

Dodgers -126 (sportsbook)

Brad Penny has been solid of late and this play is similar to the Padres play yesterday. Dodgers coming off a loss with a great pitcher on the mound - over 13 innings of scoreless ball of late as Germano was a stud that came off the Padres loss yesterday. There is even a stat that states he has yet to give up a long ball in 70 innings, which means I'm sure he will give up one today. Gorzy is a great pitcher but threw 120 pitches in his last outing but this is mainly a play on the Dodgers after a loss, on Brad Penny and the Dodger bullpen over the Pirate bullpen. Dodgers are 9-2 when Penny is on the mound. Nothing too complicated here either.

That's what I got gents, looking forward to reading what you have.

Take care,
ic

IC, I played Chi last night when the line came out. I really wanted to hit Indi but I can't pull the trigger at 11.5. I was afraid that when Wash lost outright as a9.5 fav this line would be inflated. Lets get em today.

IC, If a team favored by 4, it does not mean that the experts believe they will win by four but rather that is where they believe is the number to get the best two way action....GL today.

In your MNBA selections you refer to the "Bulls -4" and the "Wizards-Pacers 0-152.5".
While it is true that Chicago, Washington and Indiana have WNBA games today, how in G-d's name would you apply NBA names to them?

bulls line up to 5' and counting....thank u for referencing the teams by their nba names, because if you used their actual wnba names, i would not know who you were talking about. ;-)

USA Today refers to these WNBA teams as "Chicago, Washington and Indiana". IC refers to them as "Bulls, Wizards and Pacers". Flipper appreciates this as an "unstated" attempt by IC as a clarification since few of us know the names of WNBA teams. THE NAMES ARE CHICAGO, WASHINGTON AND INDIANA.
By this same illogic, AFB teams should be stated as NFL names in order to clarify what was being recommended.

Lighten up. Play them, or don't play them. It is an attempt at humor. Something a few more people in here need.

    Havana,

Hope you didn't take it offensive bro, I like the NBA far more so I was just poking a little fun. But, yes, these teams would be the Chicago Sky, Washington mystics and Minnesota Lynx. Good luck in whatever you play today, but this is the last thing you should be worried about imo.

So is an historically unsubstantiated claim of "moving the lines" part of the fun?

Well it wouldn't work for NFL as Arena has teams such as LA, Orlando, Colorado, Utah, San Jose, Arizona, Grand Rapids, Las Vegas, Austin, Columbus, etc...which do not have nfl teams so that would be confusing...

Come on guys lighten up. He comes in here and tries to give out info and maybe we can make some money and you want to nit pick about what or who he calls the teams. I don't see a thread with Flipper or Havana posting plays with write ups.

lol, I will be glad to post the wnba team's last name. As per the afl connotations, that makes no sense. This is not the afl, this is the wnba. I was comparing the wnba to the nba. Comparing the wnba to the afl makes little to no sense. I am done talking about this - no hard feelings, I will use wnba last names from now on. good luck.

As per the unsubstaniated claim about moving wnba lines, there is no doubt in my mind i am moving the lines as the limits are small in wnba. I have been capping wnba for the past few years and today is play #14 and #15, I just asked you to notice the lines for fun, both lines will be up at least a 1 point in mind at tip-off currently, the sky line has moved up 1 and some places 1.5 and the total is holding stead although it has jumped 1/2 a point at 5 dimes. The same will happen tomorrow likely as well. I suggest relaxing Havana and taking it easy.
