Notes:

We wrap up Week 1. For new subscribers, we traditionally start weeks on
Monday and end them on Sunday (US Time).

So, Week 1 of the 2005 MLB Season for the Dogs Formula is now in the
books. We have to reiterate, please keep a realistic outlook on this.
We're going to have losing weeks, and we're not going to win every day
like this.

It just so happens that our opening week is one of our hot ones. There
will be other hot weeks, but we're due to come back down to earth.
Playing dogs, you can't keep winning like this every week.

================

American League:

Anaheim @ TEXAS +103, 2PM...Official play will be on Anaheim if they are
the dog at game time on Wagerline.com. Note that we're going to refer to
Los Angeles of Anaheim as just Anaheim.
LAA: J. Washburn (0-0, 0.00)
TEX: K. Rogers (0-0, 1.50)

New York @ BOSTON +117, 3PM...Our futures bet on Boston under is looking
pretty good right now. If David Wells does not pitch well this season,
it's almost a sure thing.
NYY: M. Mussina (0-0, 3.00)
BOS: T. Wakefield (0-0, 2.70)

CHICAGO +103 @ Cleveland, 3PM...Official play will be on Cleveland if they
are the dog at game time on Wagerline.com. Millwood gets his AL debut.
CWS: F. Garc?a (0-0, 3.00)
CLE: K. Millwood (0-0, 0.00)

SEATTLE +100 @ Kansas City, 4PM...NO PLAY ON KANSAS CITY if they are the
dog at game time on Wagerline.com.
SEA: R. Franklin (0-0, 2.25)
KC: R. Hern?ndez (1-0, 1.29)

National League:

HOUSTON +113 @ New York, 1PM...Most pundits wrote off the Astros, and some
picked them as low as 5th place. But if Pettitte and Clemens do what they
did last season, the Astros could surprise everybody.
HOU: A. Pettitte (0-0, 1.50)
NYM: T. Glavine (0-1, 12.27)

San Diego @ CHICAGO +103, 1:20PM...Official play will be on San Diego if
they are the dog at game time on Wagerline.
SD: A. Eaton (0-0, 5.79)
CHC: R. Dempster (0-1, 17.18)

PHILADELPHIA +132 @ Florida, 7PM...Phillies really surpised us with a big
win in St. Louis yesterday. Cardinals are complaining that the last week
of Spring Training, when the traveled to cities such as Oklahoma City and
Memphis after being in Florida, has them exhausted.
PHI: B. Myers (0-0, 1.35)
FLA: A. Leiter (0-0, 1.59)

Colorado @ Arizona, 9:40PM...Colorado is currently the dog here, and there
is NO PLAY ON COLORADO. However, in the unlikely event that Arizona is
the home dog on Wagerline.com at game time, that will be an official play.
COL: J. Jennings (0-1, 9.00)
ARI: B. Halsey (0-0, 4.50)

======================================

Our returning subscribers will remember this, but for our new subscribers,
we should point out that our comments next to some the plays are just our
opinions. Our opinions do not factor into the formula. Playing dogs can
be a little daunting at times. Given that, some of our comments next to
the games can sound slightly worrisome.

The natural tendency in wagering is to think that the favorite is going to
win, which is why they are the favorite. But, we do have a long term edge
here with this formula.

Our opinions on the games can throw some people off. But it bears
repeating - our subjective opinions are just that - opinions. We go with
the plays the formula is giving us. Our personal opinion of the plays do
not factor into the formula.

When the formula puts up a play such as Toronto to beat Boston, it doesn't
necessarily mean it expects to win THAT game. But the formula has
demonstrated in the past that it has a long-term edge in winning just
enough of those games to make a difference. The value lies in hundreds of
such dog games spread out over a long period of time. That is why we
stress taking a long-term approach with this formula.

Instead of posting their entire page, it might be wise if you have an
extra two minutes, to give us the YTD unit record, the week record, and
    then post the plays yourself.

There is a chnace someone might see this and contact the sevice that their
plays are being posted in a forum. We know who you are, so when you post
"Dog Plays Formula", we'll know where you got them. Just a thought,

    Goose,

Very good point! To make sure I'm on the same page as you.....You're
suggesting two posts per day? One with the YTD/Daily recap and then one
with just the selections for that day? We will all know what those
    selections are! Please clarify. Thanks.

You can do just one post per day. Post the YTD record in units up or
down, and the units up or down from the previous day, and then the games
    they pick for us EG-

    YTD +10.45U
    Sun +2.45U

    Todays Plays
    Hous +117
    SD +128
    Tex +110
    Bos +122

If you have the extra time to do this, great. If not, oh well, no
    biggie. Thanks and GL.

If it is not too much of a hassle for you....please also include the teams
that MIGHT become an official play if a current favorite becomes a dog.
    Thanks much!!!
