  • This is a pretty cool contest, I wish they did these for the sports I actually win at :)
  • I don't think anyone with a straight face can say that DFS isn't gambling. It very clearly is gambling. That said I do believe it is skill-based and while I also feel that way about sports betting I think the # of people that can beat DFS is highe…
  • (Quote) The only difference between that and prop betting you could argue is that the UIGEA specifically says the results of multiple players, so one could construe parlaying props to be legal but a single prop bet to be illegal.
  • Long live Matsuyama. Too bad he's 30 percent owned and Summerhays is dragging down my LUs that could contend. Guessing the cut line is somewhere between +1 and +3 so guys are still alive just a tough trip home.
  • If I was going to pick 1 guy I'd be surprised if I own anyone more heavily than Matsuyama.
  • Stenson, Matsuyama, Hunter Mahan, Ryan Moore a few guys on my radar early. Kevin Na also interesting price and current form though he's been cut here a couple times.
  • I took Jaidee, Koepka, Watson, Horschel, Matsuyama, Wiesberger, Mahan, and Poulter. All chalk, some light some heavy, outside of Jaidee and Wiesberger.
  • I would say that in event based sports like MLB or NHL, and with the score required to win, 50% almost never happens unless it is a dream spot. Only once all year did I project Ovie at 6 points. Even someone like Trout or Ovechkin only hit the GPP…
  • Haven't placed any wagers yet but looking at Wiesberger, Mahan, Oost, Willett as long shots to win with Poulter / Matsuyama in contention as well. I typically am DFS golf only but in Vegas this week so able to play. Initial cut at each group tryin…
  • What do you think about playing 2 pitchers against each other? Both McHugh and Shields project as decent pitching options and the impact on your ceiling is only moderately decreased for the win, elevating your floor by the same amount. It doesn't …
  • Wilcox double bogey on his final hole (#9) dunking one in the water on a short Par 3 to miss the cut. That hurts.
  • Yeah NHL is my favorite sport and I know it the best, so that's why I gravitate there. That said some NHL guys I talk to also play MLB seriously and said NHL is far softer than MLB. There is a ton of info out there on DFS NFL, NBA, MLB, plus some …
  • During the NHL season I generally spend an hour or two on Sunday or Monday updating my base rankings for players and matchups, downloading the game logs, etc. Then during lunch I typically update for that specific days matchups, pricing, etc, and m…
  • (Quote) This isn't luck, it is intentional strategy on his part. He has posted about it before. His logic is that he finds large scale GPPs to have a lower cashing point than high dollar 50/50s. Instead of entering high dollar 50/50s to double u…
  • (Quote) We're staying at the Venetian. I'm going to play in an amateur USA hockey tournament that I go to every year, so luckily we booked rooms and locked in rates before the fight was announced. Saved about 70% from what rates are going for now…
  • Pretty cool. I'm going to be in Vegas that weekend and no way I'm going to pony up the cash to see it, but may throw a $2 lotto ticket in there. I think it is cool the sites can offer these VIP experiences. DK does it a bit more often but glad to…
  • I use some form of stacking in almost every GPP lineup for NHL. 2-man and 3-man forward combos, PP1 umbrella combos, goalie pairing. I almost never make an NHL GPP lineup without multiple stacks of some sort.
  • (Quote) Saw it posted on a forum, mods immediately removed it. Presumably a combination of inaccurate data but also concern that their experts may not be the experts people perceive them to be.
  • Harris English is interesting. Everything in my model likes him including weighting of stats with only a slight knock against for course history. Literally the only reason he didn't jump out is personal biases, not against him, but just the name b…
  • I found this tool that may end up being a great one. That said, it seems inaccurate right now. Even from reading their FAQ and my own DK results I can't tie to their numbers. In the last mo view I should be up $2297 or down $1898 depending on how…
  • I think there are still massive inefficiencies. I watched a writer for Rotowire/FantasyInsiders/Rotoviz say he would have played Norris last night at 100p ownership in GPP because was the best play. This is a smart guy who has won money playing DF…
  • (Quote) Fair question. Prisoners dilemma if you consider yourself a top player and no other top players are going to divulge strategy, why would you? But if all other top players were going to do the same, wouldn't you want to beat them to market…
  • Huge news, both Disney and Yahoo being involved in addition to all the sports leagues should kill any concerns on legality. Maybe some regulation down the road but game here to stay and a ton of new money continuing to pour in. I don't have any id…
  • I've read most of his stuff, I think they're a good read, entertaining and some good tidbits. It isn't going to necessarily make you a better player in and of itself but it should help you think more critically about the game. If you like DFS you'…
  • Last week I mentioned accuracy being a critical stat, which I think largely held true, this week I think it is irrelevant. Last year's top 10 featured just 1 golfer in the Top 20 in the field in Driving Accuracy. In fact, only 2 of them were in th…
  • I personally would prefer to direct buy the $300 GPP that I'm sure they'll have and 6 into the Millionaire Maker. The allure is nice but the guy who won the Masters literally had the optimal Lineup and with such a top heavy payout. First place in …
  • I play primarily on DK now and found that I play better when focused on one site and more aware of game and pricing nuances. I also found my ROI to be much higher in GPPs which gears to FD or DK. Whether it is pricing, scoring or just running good…
  • Tommy nailed the Johnson Wagner.
  • It's a blood bath out there. Shot tracker is telling me our boy Ben Martin missed a 7-inch putt?!
  • I've got Knox in my cash LU right now no issue using him in tourneys. The Match Play stuff is more narrative than anything else but I think he's a solid option.
