Yes, a lot of favorites.
Thank you. 3 for 3 is a nice start to the week, Jedi Master.
horrible midweek results,
PSG was mostly a price based play, but Madrid played much better than expected. The plays on Basel and Juventus were just unlucky. Given the shots that they took, the game vs Manchester City might as well have ended 1-1 or 0-0. Both teams shot an xG of 0.8 or less.
In Turin, the Juventus side had an xG of 2.4 to 1.6, and the missed penalty there clearly hurt. However, this sets up a couple of good plays for the returns, which will be in 3 weeks.

*Also about time I catch up on the accounting in this thread. Will get to that after the weekend.
accounting done for post #32 -> #48
33 - 37.5 - 5.5 for -2.22 units
Basically went down 10 units, before recovering in the last 5 posts. Also of note: 2 winners denied by briljant Messi freekicks in the last few days.
YTD: 78.5 - 81.5 -10.5 for +0.02 units
Champions League Tuesday:
FC Porto +1 +104
- The thinking here is that 'Liverpool can lose by 4 and still go through to the next round'. Danger is that Porto might leave gaps in the defense from all the attacking which can be exploited by the ruthlessly efficient Salah and Man? front.
PSG -115
- You don't win the Europa League 3 times in a row (Unai Emery, Sevilla 2014 - 2016) without being able to adapt your strategy to your opponent. If Paris wins this game 2-0, they'll go through based on their away goal in Madrid. Madrid don't necessarily have to win as they're nursing a 3-1 lead in this series.
No plays on today's Champions League games,
I'll be mostly watching the Tottenham Hotspur vs Juventus clash in London, figures to be a good game. A bit more up north in Manchester, the boys from Pep Guardiola should take care of Basel even though he's starting a couple of bench youngsters in Jesus Navas and Phil Foden.

jesus navas has been gone from the team all season... playing in Sevilla now... and he isn't young...
Gabriel Jesus, 20 yrs, normally on the bench for Manchester City,
Sorry for mixing Jesus Navas up with Gabriel Jesus.
Ones from Spain, the other one is brazilian, one plays center fwd, the other plays right wing, ones young, ones older. one plays in the team, the other doesn't.
Also Gabriel jesus isn't a "youngster" Pep is just giving time to in an easy game, he was starting over Aguero when they were both healthy last season.... he is also the starting center for world cup favorite braziil...
But im sure you knew all of that already so its all good

Line-up card said 'Jesus', while typing I made the mistake of calling Gabriel Jesus the brazilian, Jesus Navas. It was a mistake, I apologized,
Please take your crap elsewhere,
then it's all good.
