It's amazing, this stuff gets around and could cost you dearly. Right away even before an interview with the GM, Coach Etc: you know the Kid has nothing between the ears and can his Raw talent be worked with because you know the kid is an Idiot.
Almost forgot, Did interviews for years. My VP always said your going to manage them and your managers are going to work with them every day so you do the interviews. whenever we were hiring or a new place was opening and people were leaving you know "Grass always Greener" One day this guy walks in and there are questions that can't be asked according to law but there questions that you can ask and one of the question that can be asked is why were you terminated at your last job or the one before or any termination. Now you can't interrogate or tell the person that doesn't seem true but you can listen to the story and see how it sounds and make the judgement for yourself.
So this guy walks in with a wrinkle shirt and not nicely dressed at all and this is an interview to get a job. We start talking and of course I'll ask a question and let them talk to see how they respond. So now I hit him with the question why were you terminated at your last job. So he looks at me and say's and I quote because I never forget "I just couldn't get along with management and the Shift Manager in particular we just never seen eye to eye" So we continue to look each other in the eye and I turn my head to look at my badge that say's Casino Shift Manager and I look back at him and he's looking at me like everything is going well. So I say thank You for coming in and good luck. He say's so how did I do you think I'll get the job. I told him like I told everyone that after the Casino goes over the interviews and Apps they will call if your accepted. I sat down called my Assistant in the office and we laugh for a while. There's people out there that you really have to wonder how they by.
If you think about it these teams they're going to lose almost 2/3 of there games and we bet them expecting them to win A game from the other 1/3 they play and then we get pissed off when they lose. We do need help.
