I probably should have released this earlier since the Fresno line keeps
fuckin' moving. Whatever. Haven't tallied my record for Saturday, yet, but
I think I broke around even. I will do that in a sec.

$$$Fresno State$$$ over Washington by 7 - I understand the plight of the
oddsmakers here. You can't make a traditionally tough home team like
Washington a dog on its home field, so be safe and open them a short
favorite. Unfortunately, nobody is buying it. The Huskies quite simply
lost their identity on offense and haven't had a defense to rely on in
quite some time. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are inching closer to producing
an edition much like David Carr's teams. My only concern is the Bulldogs
lack playmakers at receiver, but the defense is good and the offense
should be able to run the ball. I expect Hill to play it close to the vest
offensively and let his defense hopefully produce field position or
turnovers due to the Huskies new offense. I am not ultra-comfortable with
this play just because all the money is going Fresno's way, but the
Bulldogs are clearly the more trustworthy team and should be ready right
away to fire a good game. You can't say that about UW, because right now
everybody is guessing.

Tennessee over $$$UNLV$$$ by 10 - Everything I have heard or read says
that Tenn hasn't been able to get a good read on its QB situation despite
and entire offseason of time to replace Clausen. The Vols are talented,
but lets not get fooled into believing this team is anywhere near the
mid-to-late 90s, pre-2001 teams. But that's where this line is priced. If
Tenn isn't able to get good production at QB, then there is no way the
Vols should be in this range against the solid defense and veteran offense
of UNLV. Last year's win at Wisconsin means there won't be any doubt on
the Rebels mind that they can't hang in this environment. I like the UNLV
defense and Robinson is doing a good job scrapping together JUCOs and
troubled HS players to make the school competitive. Right out of the gate,
this game figures to lack any explosions, so I say take the heavy points
and pray for rain.

Ya estuvo!

count Okie State as two wins, since it was two units. Couple it with
Thursday's 0-fer (0-2) and you get 9-8 on the week. Add on VaTech last
Saturday and you get 10.5 wins and 8 losses. Nobody is going to get rich
with that record, but we're just trying to have fun. Maybe I can bang out
a decent week with a good performance today and tomorrow. I only post this
so my many detractors can shut the hell up!
