<br>Added Play:<br>#904 StL Marquis (-185),<br>While StL may have had a late, long flight back from LA, and hopefully <br>behaved themselves, as they still own a spakling 9-1 winning record on <br>Mondays, on the other hand Fla is a much lesser 4-6 on Mondays. Valdez is <br>back off the DL after a hairline fracture of his fibula (small leg bone), <br>he may pitch well early, but even so look for at least a 5 or 6 inn exit <br>from the 31 yr. old whose pitches are said to have less on them.... <br>Marquis, while not my fav pitcher, nevertheless is back pitching well and <br>look for a good performance from him..Problem with a team like StL when <br>they are so far ahead in the race, some players might take a "rest day" on <br>the job..but we dont look for it on "Monday night" from this well-behaved <br>group.<br>----Marquis: at home is 5-3, 3.86 era, in 10 starts, by doing a little <br>sneaky subtraction it appears over the last 3 yrs--"At home" vs Fla he <br>would have been 1-0, 2.30 era, in 2 starts & 1 relief, throwing 15 inns <br>allowing 4 eruns...but he was just awful in 4 appearances at pro-player I <br>mean something like over 10.-- era....Fla does have a batting avg against <br>him of .305 ( but remember pro-player !! )<br>----Valdez, even back in his prime and throwing well was hard to put a <br>thumb on...anyhow he has thrown this year 5 inn, 6 hits , 1 earned run, 3 <br>BB, 4 s/o, whip -a high 1.80....and that walk to s/o ratio is bad...on the <br>road vs SF , in relief 2 inn 2 hits 1 run..StL batting avg against him <br>.245..( not very recent ).<br>----BullPens: StL 3.17 era, 3.47 era at home....
