Got this email with above subject line a few days ago...
I've been fighting for legalizing sports betting in NJ for seven years. In 2011 two-thirds of voters approved my referendum allowing sports betting, but the NFL lead a court challenge and enjoined my legislation from allowing sports betting at our casinos and racetracks.
We've been in court six times to overturn the injunction. Each time we pick up support. A decision by the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals is expected any day.
During major sports events, all the rooms in Las Vegas are booked and Atlantic City is a ghost town. Sports betting will give our casinos and racetracks a much needed boost and put thousands back to work.
