Very close ties the Iowa State basketball program and thought I would share some info with you guys in case you're tempted to bet them the next couple games I'd rather you know there's some stuff going on then find out after tip.
Jameel McKay who's our leading rebounder has been suspended again for tonights game and I'm hearing he'll likely miss Saturday as well. For those of you that don't know he was suspended last week bc of his, "all about me attitued" He's missed practices, told Steve he didn't want to travel for a game as well. Steve finally had to suspend him and take a stand. He was doing fantastic the first couple days after his tweet where he daid, "1 Game" which is now two games and more proof that he's not following direction. I was told today that he left practice yesterday after getting frustrated and force Prohm's hand to suspend him for tonight. I would almost guarantee you he'll be out Saturday as well after yesterday.
I spoke with Jameel personally earlier on Twitter and he said he's doing great. Went on to say that people need to stop making stuff up about him.
Time will tell, he's a great guy and we definitely need him on our team for a deep run into the NCAA.
Again tonight Niang will play more of the 5 spot and freshmen Simeon Carter will get some good PT as well. Nadar and Burton need to step up in his absence.
Carter brings some great O but lacks defensively. Tech is missing a big man as well tonight. Over is the play for me.
