that giant game was the biggest trap ive seen in a while....if you watched those two game and seen where that line opened and where it went ,I can not for the life of me figure out that line , I mean I know what the line should be but I wouldn't bet ariz with monopoly money, vegas said come and get all this free money on ariz bet it PLEASE...if I can get 3 and the giants ...am with ya...otherwise its a pass

I have a question because I hear the word "Trap" from time to time may I ask who exactly is doing the trapping. Do all the books get together and decide on trapping the public or is it something else. I only ask because I really don't know the answer it somewhat reminds me of the word "They" who is they?

Not only do all of the books get together, but all of the bettors that make up the market agree to set the line at a certain point specifically to fool you into thinking that you should play the game. Then when you do they all laugh at you for falling for their trap.

My meaning of trap is when you watch a game like the giants/det game and then watch a game like ariz coming back and beating the chargers, and personally I think the chargers have a good shot vs seattle this week, and the line opens up at giants -1 ....now who in the their right minds would bet the giants after watching both of those games, its a figure of speech when I say vegas is begging you to take ariz,I assume the novice capper would jump all over Arizona, how many of them make their own lines , they don't care what the line is ,they saw what they saw and their minds tell them there is no way in hell the giants can beat ariz, I called my sportsbook buddy this morning and they could've made it pk or ariz -1 and they still would've bet ariz. Am not sure where it will end up , but like I said, if I can get the +3 I might put a few bucks on it.

Its almost like college basketball when you see those top 20 teams playing some shit team and the line is -4 , if you ask me, you bet the dog or leave it alone, how many people on here bet those games blindly ? I call them trap games.

the media has another meaning for a trap game , you hear them talking about it all the time as well ,not from the gambling point of view, just a win or loss view.

Please remember to use -110 for all football lines unless it's a shaded key number. Thanks.

From -4 to -5.5 is less significant than from -3.5 to -3......... I thought 5 might become a little bit more significant with the new point-after-rules, but i haven't seen it in practice.
