NFL & CFB Team Total Limits

I'm looking ahead to football season and I was wondering if someone can share their wisdom on NFL & CFB team total limits. It's almost impossible to get a good estimate on these because when I ask customer service they give me square limits (at least I believe these are square limits)... Bookmaker customer service just told me they'd take $3,000 to $5,000... no way that's true. Figured he thought I was asking about game totals and reiterated team totals and he gave the same answer.

So if someone could fill me on what types off limits the bigger offshore books take on these that'd be greatly appreciated. I know durito said Pinny take $2,000 on NFL, unfortunately I don't have an account there.

Do they slash these pretty quick?

1k at bookmaker for NFL I believe. Same for college, but they only offer select games.

Only places that I'm aware of that offer every college game are 5dimes and Greek and limits are $500.

I doubt those are square limits either, they are probably on some list of limits that hasn't been updated in a decade. Bookmaker CS would tell you they would still process sportsbook transfers to Cascade 3-4 years after they went out of business.

Does Bookmaker have the sharpest lines for both the NFL and College Team Totals? Didn't look too much into it last year but my local did have some Team Totals that were off by a few points every now and then and will try to key in on those a bit this upcoming season. Thanks for any help!

    5dimes will let you re-bet and they're also -110

I'm not sure if betonline will let you re-bet, sometimes their software tells me I can re-bet in 61 seconds but then doesn't allow it. I've never tried with the team totals.

Bookmaker is 1k on NFL but they line them at -115 I believe

I know they took dimes on NFL. I can't remember if they were nickel or dime on cfb team totals, but it was definitely only for select games.

CRIS used 30-cent lines for NFL team totals last season. It wouldn’t shock me to see 20-cent lines for 2014. MLB team totals were 30-cents in 2013 and are now 20-cent lines for 2014.

I would guess CRIS really doesn’t put any time into making a team total or trying to shade it one way or another. They don’t post them until gameday, so it’s just a simple derivation of the game line, which is sharp by gameday (i.e. if you have a line that’s -7, 47, they’ll just throw 27 and 20 out there as team totals).

That doesn’t mean their line isn’t sharp, as I’m sure they move 5 cents or so if a sharp account hits them.

You really need to know what each point is worth. 16.5 and 17.5 are extremely different numbers for an NFL team total, while 17.5 and 18.5 are essentially the same. Not stating anything groundbreaking here obviously, just making the point that based on scoring distribution, you can’t simply bet because something is off by a point.
