if we only have 12,000 members or so how can a thread get nearly 300,000 hits. I didn't think it tallied when u view the thread multiple times.

    Good question. It might reset for each new reply. So if someone reads the initial post, and comes back to see a new reply, that would count as 2 views, etc. That is my best guess. Might also reset each day.

    I believe that the counter goes up every time that someone clicks on the post. I just went back a few pages and clicked on a post a dozen times in a row. The count went up by 12.

    Okay there you go. I thought there was something that prevented that from happening, but guess not.

    Thanks guys. It just really stuck out, that 300,000 was a huge number. I know in the past it didn't calculate when u click on a thread to view it multiple times. We had guys in the past inflating their views to build up a following in an attempt to open a handicapping service of their own.
