I have a free trip from Harrah's to go to AC. Anything fun to do there?

The beach bars are a good time if you're there on a nice day and like that scene. Trump and Ballys are both always a lot of fun (they are across the boardwalk from the hotels, on the ocean side of it).
There's a really good seafood/sushi restaurant called Tomatoes that isn't too far from AC, maybe 10-15 minutes.
If you're taking kids, there's an aquarium that's decent and lots of mini golf courses.
This is what I hear a lot. I am down in Texas and have never made it to AC. Been to Vegas plenty. Is it even something that is worth seeing once, or I am better off saving my money for another debacle in Vegas?
Save your money, no reason to venture to that part of the country. I try to avoid being immersed in a region where people generally hate other people.
I've been to AC a lot because I have relatives in Ocean City. If I'm in Ocean City for a week, I try to hit AC once and that's plenty. I'm personally not a big fan of the city, but Borgata is nice and they have nice restaurants and the comps are good. They have a comedy club where a lot of famous comedians perform, so you could check that schedule. If you do go to Borgata, print out directions because GPS's don't seem to work well in getting you there and you'll end up in the slums.
In terms of the trip being worthwhile, really depends on what you are looking for... If you like the beach, it's probably not a bad trip. If you want something that has a Vegas-like atmosphere, you aren't going to get it there. If you are looking for nightclubs, nothing really close to Vegas from what I can tell. The Borgata has an upscale one but the dress code is strict (they wouldn't let me in last time I was there, which was a Monday night, granted I'm never dressed up). For gambling, every blackjack table is pretty much the same to me. Not like you get anything there gambling-wise that you can't get at any other casino.
As Horn said, you won't get the friendliness you're used to in the south, I can guarantee that.
