First, this little experiment has not gone as well as expected. So we are in March Madness week, and I will be attempting to recreate March Madness 2 years ago.
This process has 3 parts (Working from back to front):
Part 3:
I have 2 5-Team World Cup Parlays I want to get on the cheap. WC-D (my dominant play) and WC-A (my alternative).
WC-D has been posted several times, but here it is:

I have done my best to put the best games on the weekend together.
Everton v. Bolton: Bolton has come to life since their new manager arrived a month or so ago. That could cause some caution, yet Everton is on a 6 game home winning streak, and won their last three at home v. Bolton. Bolton on the other hand have not yet converted their recent good form to away wins against a moderate or quality side. With 4 losses in six, a win and draw against relegation threatened West Ham (w) and Wigan (d).
Athletic Bilbao v. Getafe: First...Getafe is a poor away side. Losing 4 of last 5 away before a 0-0 draw at Osasuna on the weekend. Bilbao is always a tough visit, and with the Basques playing for a spot in Europe, The come in with a 5 game home winning streak, including a Real Madrid scalp. The danger with this pick is likely to be low scoring, maybe 1 goal.
Roma v. Udinese: Roma were carrying a 9 game home winning streak before drawing with AC Milan in their last home game. Udinese, is ok away, and a draw possibility. In last 5 3D 2L. The draws against bottom half of the table sides, the losses to top half sides.
Mallorca v. Atletico Madrid: Mallorca are 5th in the table with a home record rivaling Barcelona and Real Madrid 11W 0D 1L that loss was to Sevilla 2 games back. Atletico Madrid are an ok away side, The have drawn 2 and lost 2 in last 4 away. The draws to relegation strugglers Racing Santander & Real Zaragoza, the losses to mid-table Getafe & Almeria.
Real Zaragoza v. Barcelona: What's to say, Barcelona against a relegation challenged Zaragoza. Yet, Zaragoza have been an OK home side, drawing their last 3. Barcelona, are sputtering a bit with a loss and draw in last 2 away games. Barca is the better side will they play like it. I will look to take Zaragoza +1.5 goals (+101) looking for a middle.
Part A:
I will be coupling 2 game lead-ins to either WE+WC-D (221-1) or WE+WC-A (263-1). AND, yes, it may seem somewhat like throwing excrement against the wall ;-)
I will do my best to post the part A's and the other combination, BUT on Thursday and Friday things will get hectic.
One other thing, I expect 40-80 plays by Friday, probably 40+% alive into the WE parlay.
We'll see what transpires.

To be clear, this is just step one, since for any of this to matter the weekend gauntlet awaits. NOTHING had been achieved, yet.
The difference in the Texas game is that had Texas won, today's strategy would have been very different. The numbers would have been WC-D...13/7424.98 and WC-A...8/8851.08.
I see the Greece game as the weakest link in the WC-D parlay, and the Portugal/Ivory Coast total as the weakest link in WC-A. Had Texas won, today I would be playing a WC-D variant with the Greece/South Korea DRAW and the WC-A variant Portugal/Ivory Coast OVER.
Another alternative would to have been to attempt to make the 4th games in each string a payday as well. Adding to WC-D, France/Uruguay DRAW as a lead-in, ending with Slovakia, and in WC-A ...adding Mexico/So Africa OVER 2...ending with Portugal/Ivory Coast UNDER.
So much for woulda, coulda, shoulda's.
