Opponents threw 7 and 15 passes (10 receptions combined!) in their first two games. But I think their opponents just don't like to pass rather than them being afraid to throw against the Wyoming secondary.
Gardner Webb just doesnt throw the ball, getting blown out the whole game they threw only 15 passes.
Iowa did throw 1/2 the time against Iowa State although most comes from late-game time pressure situations.
I cant find from google anywhere that they have some kind of shutdown corners or anything. Their passing defense was really inefficient last year and in a VERY small sample space they havent done well on the 22 attempts this year, with 7 yards per attempt and 3 TDs.
In conclusion I am going to take the OVER here. The hypothesis that Wyoming will force Oregon into time-consuming run plays rather than faster passing plays doesnt seem right. The hypothesis that they will shut down Oregon doesnt seem right either, although people coudl be tricked just because of the odd slow-play running strategy of their first two opponents.
