Good Season Betting 1.5% of B/R but just tracking 1 Unit Fun Year. Now if I could stick to just the Football contest and one 2 team teaser a week maybe I'll be able to keep the profit

    April 49-57 <5.12>
    May Record 70-64 +10.24
    June Record 49-51 +1.71

    July 40-31 +13.02

    Total 208-203 +19.85

I mentioned to OT that I could set something up to track it and view the results if you got it up and running. Get my email from OT, BT or find me on twitter if you're interested.

I have picks tracking system setup, where the picks are time stamped and can be viewed by everyone for full transparency on the contest. I can take those picks, create a weekly sheet and update the results weekly.

All this being said, I'm not looking to add a bunch of work or step on anyone's toes at BT, but I have things in place where I can take the picks and house the information for viewing.

well the site am using does the same thing....everyone gets to see everyone elses plays ...the same site we used for the BT bracket contest and last man standing contest.
All that being said, we cant do anything on this site ....has to be behind the scenes.
This is pretty easy stuff ....ebemiss , how many guys can you get ? if cpech gets his guys , i get my guys and anyone else thats want to get in from here knows where to find us it should work out well, just trying to find out about this app on how everyone can send money.

I mentioned in a post that you would be the perfect guy for this. you have a site everything is set and It's very easy to get to you and your meticulous and trust worthy. Just a suggestion but post link that would take you to a page that has the rules in place and a place for them to put there email address. Then shoot them an email on what's the final day that money will be accepted and of course you reserve the right to cancel if you can't get at least 25 people or whatever you decide . Money will then be sent to you and for your trouble you'll take 5% off the top. Set a final day for money to be sent and depending on how many entries how it will be distributed a few days before the season starts. It should be at least $200. Just do it days are going by and Sept will be here soon. This is not hard. I'm sure Goats won't mind a link from you.

Edit: Guys this is someone you know and is good at what he does. I know ebemiss for a very long time and I'm telling you a more trust worthy man you won't find.

It's a shame nothing is going to happen. It could be a shot in the arm for this place.

Thanks OT. Right back at ya.

Jets96, I'll talk with a bunch of local guys this weekend about it. They run pools for everything I'm sure if the price was right and the rules were straightforward I could get a bunch. My guess I could get more guys if the entry was near $100. Or you could up the price like OT suggested. That would work as well.

Will help if you need it, that's all I was saying.

here are the rules i set up , just a start ,nothing is sent in stone we can change them...i won my bracket contest here last year ,the mailman runs the thing who drops off sheet in everyones mailbox ..i gave him a sheet to drop off to everyone just to see how many guys i can get...my neighbor is a nyc fireman , gave him a sheet to see how many guys he can get ...like OT say s , we have to do this now.
Ebemiss .....if you think it would be easier for you to do it , thats fine....website does all the work ,just collecting money is the hard part....
also i didnt put a limit on players ....i would think at min of 25 which should be easy. what you guys think

Cost to join pool is $100.00.
Pick 5 games each week of the season.
Each win will be worth 1 pt.
You can pick 1 game out of the 5 as a best bet worth 2 pts.
    0 pts for a loss.
The contest is set up to have NO PUSHES, or in other words a 1/2 pt will be added to all spreads to create a winner and loser.
Spreads should be up on site by Wednesday and as early as Tuesday evening.
Winner at years end will win 65% of pool money.
    2nd place will receive 20 %
    3rd place 10%
Last place will receive 5% but will have to submit all plays to be considered the winner.
    17 weeks x 5 selections =85 picks

Administrator fees for the website is $30.00 plus $3 for every contestant, those monies will be deducted before prize money is distributed. I should know what that is in week one.

We plan on administering a contest similar to this replacing our survivor contest from last year that will be free to enter for members of the board and will include prizes.

Jets- I would be in if needed. Would like to see winner get 70% as opposed to 5% going to last place. Jammer

That's why I say the entry should be a little more so you can give something to a perfect week. This way if your out of the running you still have something to play for. When running this type of contest by week 10 there's quite a few that are out already because the best you can do is pick up 5 points and with a bunch of people in front of you it's next to impossible to move up especially with the bye when there's only 12 games. To be successful you need incentive for something to win weekly. I incorporated a king of the contest inside this contest and we usually finished 3 of them and the winner would get 1k but I also had a 20k B/R.
If you do a $100 entry fee without a weekly prize what's the sense of putting your picks in if your not in the top 10 by week 12.

I don't want to sound snobbish but your talking 17 weeks of fun and action for IMO $250 which comes out to $15 a week. Also here your not going to get 80 guys but if you get 50 at least you have something that you can work with. One more suggestion and then I'm done if your going to use 1/2 points which is the best way IMO especially with all the 3's and 7's your going to see have someone use a parlay card from a casino which comes out Thurs nights and use the same casino. I could help with that by putting out the lines. (I'm not getting in) If you don't do it that way and you someone add a 1/2 point EX: take a game from 3 to 3.5 or from 3 to 2.5 they can't be in the contest. Good Luck I hope you do something through ebemiss's site.

Not sure what part of this was misunderstood....

I'm fairly certain Ed does not want any contest that involves an entry fee facilitated here, even if BT isn't running it.
