How much bankroll would one need to go "pro"

    just curious as i was reading on another forum somebody documenting the journey of going pro. kid moved to vegas and says he has 30k.. he does make videos and shows his bets.

    All depends on what expenses you have, other sources of income, etc. If you have a spouse that's doing extremely well and could pay the bills pretty much on his/her own income, it'll be a lot different answer than someone that has a car payment, mortgage, student loans, etc. It's like asking "how much money do you need to make to live up to a comfortable standard of living?", as that answer would change greatly depending on who you ask.

    Very ROI and volume dependent. 100k means <3k per play bet size (I'd suggest less). So on average you are making <$100 per play. Probably need to be making close to 1000 plays at 2.5% ROI or better.

    I'd side with Mr. Advantage's advice. imo u need a much bigger roll or guys staking you to increase bet size.

    it is also important to have a liferoll with your bankroll. 100k? what if things dont go well, are u going to quit down 70k and live off 30 while job hunting? whittle it down to 0 and borrow or chino rheem people

    Agreed. Tommy's response points out many of the reasons why it's impossible that popped into my head as well.

    Sure is interesting for someone to buy 80k worth of options then leaving the country with out placing a Stop Sell order.
