My youngest daughter and I have fantasy football teams in the same league. She sends me a text this afternoon asking my opinion on picking up a QB. Going into this week, the last week in this league's regular season, she is tied with the best record and I am out of the playoffs. I am out running around, trying to get ready for my children and grandchildren to arrive for Thanksgiving, so I tell my daughter that I will look at it when I get home and text her back. After I arrive back home, unload, etc., the following is an actual conservation with the mother of my children as I pick up my laptop.
Me - I need to look up some stuff for Heather.
My Better Half - What?
Me - Some fantasy football stuff. She wants me to advise her on picking up a quarterback.
MY Better Half - And you're in what place?
Me - Not last, but pretty close to it.
My Better Half - And she's asking your advice? That child must really trust you!
Ah, I guess there's nobody like my first wife to put things in perspective for me...LOL...
