As well as KC has been playing, having to think this is a flat spot for them.
Benny, I love the "flat spot" angle, I use it a lot when capping football and basketball. However, when it comes to baseball I don't know if the angle applies as much. Basketball and football are played with emotion, so there are spots in the schedules where teams are expected to be "down", but baseball is different imo. I think when it comes to baseball a flat spot might be a day game after playing extra innings the night before, or playing in NY one night then travelling to LA the next, I don't think there should be any let-down tonight from the Royals just because they're playing a poor team, I don't think baseball works that way, but like I said it's just my opinion. There has been considerable movement on this game your way, so obviously you're not alone in your thinking, GL tonight.
