One of the biggest problems with internet forums is that tone can be misinterpreted, that's all. As I said above, that's actually my type of humor, and if people knew you were joking, I doubt anyone would have minded the post, they just weren't sure. So feel free to post stuff like that, just make sure you include a smiley or "j/k" or some note at the bottom to make sure people understand it's sarcasm.
