It was only a matter of time: Sex and sports betting collide in latest online offering

“Who wouldn’t want a porn star at their football party?”

That was the bubbly question from adult entertainer Allison Moore, who will be taking her talents to the sports betting world this NFL season.

Moore will be participating in a game of strip sports betting during the Sunday, Sept. 22 night game between the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers. The event is one of several already planned.

Before this, the adult entertainment and sports betting industries haven’t come together, which is somewhat surprising. On one hand, you have an industry that thrives off adult males with disposable income. On the other, you have naked women. Internet traffic surely will follow—although plenty of negative publicity is likely to come with it.

Chris Neismeth, Director of Marketing for Strip Sports Betting, says the target audience is the average sports fan more than the avid sports bettor.

“There was a study during the last Super Bowl that 36 percent of people who watched also used a second screen,” Neismeth said. “They watch the television broadcast, but also have their iPad, smartphone or laptop with them and are looking at unique sports commentary or doing social media during the game. We’re trying to take advantage of that phenomenon.”

The Strip Sports Betting broadcast will feature its own play-by-play announcers in addition to women betting each other on random in-game events. The wagers will be based on in-game betting options available at BetOnline. The loser, of course, sheds an item of clothing.

For those appalled, have you seen what NFL cheerleaders are wearing these days?

“I think it’s a fun way to incorporate everyone’s favorite sport of football and our second favorite thing would be girls getting down and betting,” Moore said.

The first broadcast is scheduled for the Sept. 5 opener between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos.
